I think we should make a Swede-free* thread to keep everyone happy. Oy.

Here's a brand new one for you.

And yes. Those are all magnets stuck to our fridge. XD

Knowing Xkeeper, I bet those images suffer from *severe* .jpg blurring, so thankfully I have images switched off.

OMG WAH JPG BLUR

No, they suffer from this thing called "WEBCAM BLUR". I can't help it, nor can I adjust the quality it saves.

If I really wanted to piss you off with blur, I'd use the fake 640x480 resolution, not 320x240 "true" one.

(read: I'm getting sick of hearing how much JPG blur sucks. JPG is a format for pictures. Pictures blur. Get the fuck over it already.)

Why not? It's a habit, I can't be bothered not to. I do apologise SO much for the two extra lines.

And .jpg blurring is nothing to do with normal pictures blurring, it's due to compression ruining the way pictures look just to save an insignificant amount of file space.

I'm getting sick of you going off on a hissy whenever I say something. With your childish OMGWTF speak which you must find soooo hilarious because it seems to be the only thing you can ever do. Defence mechanism, maybe?

Oh, yes, an insignificant amount of space, such as (and I did try this: )

(pic 12, btw, is the fridge below)
Picture 12.jpg - 80 KB
Picture 12.png - 175 KB

Oh, no, <huge>over half the size</huge> is nothing.

To be completely frank, 95Kb IS nothing.

And that's using .png, what if you just used a JPEG file with no compression (maximum quality)?

Taking the PNG and retransfering it to a JPG with max quality yeilds 75 KB.

I think that's because .png files are generally lesser quality than *high quality* .jpg files, so when you transfer it to .jpg, it's transfering a lower image file then saving it in a different file system.

I'm guessing the original .jpg file wasn't saved at the lowest form of compression, but the difference in size between, say, half compression and no compression is minimal, and that's putting it lightly, but the difference in quality is extreme. JPEG artifacts do nasty nasty things to a picture... That's why it bothers me. I still don't know why you exploded at me though, I barely said anything. O.o''

That's why.

Had you simply turned on images and looked, I wouldn't have. They way you made it seem:

Oh noes!!
Eew, Xkeeper posted a JPG. Thank god I turned off images.
That's how I read it.

Careful. Today's not a day I'm in a good mood (let'sj ust say that life blows goats today) so I'm a ticking time bomb

They're not having JPG blur, that blur is the camera itself fault. Besides if the pictures are JPG's from the start, no point to convert a image that is crappy from the start. PNG's are better expect for photos.

The images are quite big for that "crappy" quality even.

And oh, take a snapshot of an console Xkeeper, whichever one you wish.
