If my prior posts weren't grace, then I don't know what is. And if you're going to hotlink your vocab words for later reference, then use m-w.com. It's much better.  And what's with this baiting and trying to turn people against me again? That's a tired and old tactic.  I'm fairly sure you know that I'm not attacking all staff. In fact, there are quite a few good ones who do have the "take it easy man" attitude which is exactly what they should have. And then there are others who have let this power not so much go to their heads really, but they get a bit overzealous and think they have to spend all their board time monitoring and documenting every little thing that users do wrong as if their actions are going to demoralize and reduce morale here.  Question, and don't get upset at this please. Is the non-admin staffs only function to close/move threads and report misdoings or is discussing and developing new board policies/features/etc also a part of the duty? I'm getting the feeling that it's the prior... And hey, if it is then no big deal. I just didn't know. EDIT: "Honest question time. Why would you demote someone, only to discuss restaffing him right after? Wouldn't it be eaiser to just discuss it, then take action?" They don't want me to see the discussion because the people who speak ill of me and against me don't want to make themselves known which I think is kind of sad and pointless. If you're a friend of mine, then you shouldn't have to worry about me disliking you just because you don't agree with the way I conduct business or see things. If you think I'm just going to get mad at you because you don't support me in each and every little thing I do, then you didn't really know me that well in the first place. | Ideally, a staff member should perform maintenance and participate in discussions about the board/users whenever possible. That's my view at least. They don't want me to see the discussion because the people who speak ill of me and against me don't want to make themselves known which I think is kind of sad and pointless. Actually, we just want people to be able to speak their minds if they so choose. It's not a question of whether or not someone likes/dislikes you, but it saves another can of worms from being opened. |

| Legion: Stop talking like you're some visionary, and stop generalizing about the staff planning people's demise behind closed doors. I've DEFENDED more people than I've convicted, as have many other staffers. Colleen: Legion did all of those things, he policed the forums he was assigned and participated in discussions, a lot moreso than many other staffers. You have to admit that you just didn't like what he was saying. I'm sure you had alternative reasons for doing so, but the reason that I got out of it was that you just don't like Legion. If you presented other reasons that didn't point towards a bias, then you'd be fine in my eyes. Hiryuu: Your grace propells you to imaginary heights. So far that puts Leg one point ahead of both of you. I'm gonna close this thread until the Legion issue is finished with. Anyone else feels the need to re-open it, feel free, I just don't want to see more flaming. |

| Altered Beast, which was an arcade game, as well as a Genesis launch title (And terrible Sega Master System game as well). The plot in short: You're some dead guy sent to rescue Zeus's daughter Athena from the evil Neff. At the beginning of the game, Zeus tells you to "RIIIIIISE FROM YOUR GRAAAAVE." Or he tries to, but thanks in part to the Genesis not-that-great sound hardware, it comes out sounding more like the title of this thread.  |
