Trapster, if you had READ the thread, you'd see that TP's are *not* used for attacks. They're used to look at various things that require TP's to look at. You need to use a TP to open a chest for example.

Again, read the thread to get an idea. This is the Town Square thread, there isn't any set topic of conversation.

So I finished up my map-as-you-go game of Metroid yesterday. VERY rewarding, fun experience that everyone should try at least once.

Additionally, thanks to work, it looks like my speedrun tape will be mailed out Saturday at the earliest. And apparently someone other than Radix will have to verify my Rygar run. Even with this, though, that's still a far better time from announcement to sending off than my previous tape.

And now I'm going to bed.

So what does "I GOT KITTY EARS" have to do with various games?

*Reads second part* Right...

Map-as-you-go can be fun except in some games where it doesn't quite work out. I'm thinking of Mighty Bomb Jack, which told you to draw a pyramid and start mapping out the game from there to figure out where the secrets are.

Riiiiiiight. :\

It's a general conversation thread, Thomas. It is forever changing.

You don't really need to read that far back in pages to get an idea of what multiple ideas are going on...or do you lack that much common sense?

In other news, I'm a full mod elsewhere, so I'm taking an even larger break from here and doing stuff elsewhere.

Not to mentin tRO is addictive as hell.

I'm not Emptyeye, but anyways, as I understand it, you make a map of the game as you go through it, whether by simply drawing it out on paper, or by other methods Unless of course you were asking how easy it was to make the map

Using that does sound useful, especially for Metroid. I tried to go through that game before using the map from the map editor in Metedit, but I had no luck Then there's the map of the game that's been sitting on my desktop for a couple months now, which hasn't gotten any use at all. It sounds like something fun to try next time I'm bored and don't want to play anything on the Gamecube

Never having played that game, I have to ask what about it makes it hard to draw up a map on your own I'd assume the fact that the pyramid you draw at first may not be big enough to fit everything into would be one thing, but I don't see why else it would be hard to do

Oh, I got Kitty ears in Ragnarok. And now have black cat ears. I better get another pair of them.

Yeah, that's it.

Actually making the map wasn't all that hard, though except for Ridley I had some idea of where everything was. Note that it wasn't to perfect scale, and my map of Kraid broke down completely when I apparently managed to pass through walls and/or floors from the bottom of the hideout and end up near the start. Of course, by that time I had already found Kraid, so I was mainly exploring for its own sake.

What's Xk's problem?

I think Mesia's Pet is a cute little nickname, plus you're a very lucky guy.

I don't know who did.

All I remember was that one night in 2002, Mesia and Dani decided to play some ZSNES online with each other, and I believe the game in question was one of the Sailor Moon action fighting games. The rest of said LJ post was absolutely tremendous, with both of them claiming that they were Colleen's Angels and so forth.

Both of them were in my good list for good after that one.
