I'd say a couple of weeks.

Trapster has no awareness.

May I point out the latest subject of conversation is making my brain melt out of my ear. That's how truely facinating the HUM a screen makes is.

Isn't it enough with me pointing out that the topic was change a week ago?

Oh well, I better finish that game of Civilization III I have. Civilization is the best turnbased game I ever played, but I can't play it 24/7 and i'm soon finishing it. :/

Uh-uh, not me. I just pointed out that it has been there for a while.

"May I point out the latest subject of conversation is making my brain melt out of my ear."

Poor Fyxe. Come up with a new subject then.

No, it's someone else turn to come up with something.

Why not talk some about Advance wars? I'm playing it like crazy right now, and even made a nice little map that needs to be balanced. It's a 1VS3 style map but the lone player maybe have a little too good advantage. And I ran out of bases and cities to set out on the map... oh well.

There aren't many maps on Advance Wars that work for 3 Vs. 1, so even if it's biased towards the lone player, it's still usually easy for the other armies to get the best of him, unless you gave them virtually no Cities or Bases to capture. I suggest messing with the number of Cities and Bases available to each army. Can you watch the computer play custom maps? If you can, watch four computer players play and if it goes for a bunch of turns (about 20) without one side clearly getting a *massive* advantage, then it should be ok. You'll probably want to make all the COs the same (can you do that too?) just incase the map is biased to, say, long-range attacks.

Basically, you want the combined force of the three armies to be equal to the force of the lone army. Therefore, if the lone player can get ahold of six Bases, and 18 Cities, then you need two Bases and six Cities for each of the other armies if they are spread across the map (or you could just stick all their HQs near together and just give them six Bases and 18 Cities to squabble over).

However, remember that each individual army in the group of three will have less income, so the conbined force of the three armies will likely be lots of weak units, while the lone player can make strong units if he wishes. Therefore it's a good idea to give the three other armies lots of land to work with so they can mount a larger force of weaker units, otherwise they'll just get picked off in enclosed spaces by Rockets and such while the lone player amasses a hoard of Medium Tanks, or crushes them with Battleships.

...but then, I suck at strategy games like that.

Melvin would play that game all the time, as well as Super Robot Wars (whatever the Jap one ont he GBA was)

Seems like a lot of people like AW though, mabye I should look into it =/

Eh, the tutorial mode pretty much teaches you all you need to know, Xk. And the difficulty isn't that steep - they don't try kill you after the first 2 or 3 levels, for instance.

Quick comment... WTF is wrong with the new Msn Messenger? It keeps forcing you to use the handwriting feature.

What feature now? I think it's times like this that I'm glad I exclusively use AIM *and* that I use Trillian (in the event I had MSN buddies) to boot.

(Just the term "handwriting feature" sends a little shiver down my spine for some reason.)

*Xkeeper hugs GAIM and TRILLIAN, which (while not supporting the handwriting feature) do not force you to use it or pop up stupid "omg lol ur downloed is slew" boxes

anyway, try and find an option to disable handwriting, that mayhelp

It just means you can write stuff using the mouse.

Clearly you are no help. >.>

EDIT: And turning it off and on doesn't make a blind bit of difference, it just doesn't allow you to send regular messages for some reason.

...Oooooooooook.

I think that's one of those features which artists enjoy and people who have no artistic talent (like myself) would make an absolute mockery of. XD

That's because the handwriting feature is COOL and you should NEVER disable it because it's COOL and you should ALWAYS USE IT because it's COOL and look at me I'm MICROSOFT THOUGHTS

em.

Just try and downgrade, if possible. Obviously the newer MSNM fails.

Well it's not like there's never been a version of anything better than versions preceding it, so eh, you really shouldn't have to explain that. I mean, this is Fyxe, not Trapster. I still use AIM 5.5.3595, for instance.
