Remember the Game Gear commercial where a kid playing a game boy got hit in the head and commented on how his game is now in color? That was amusing.

Unfortunately, no...I do remember theone with the dog and it was like "If you were color-blind and had an I.Q. of less than 12, you wouldn't care about the differences between these systems. Of course, you'd also drink from the toilet."

That was likewise pretty funny.

Yeah old Sega commercials (for any system) kicked ass. I wish they still made systems, they were cool :x

Old video game commercial rocks in general, just see the Zelda rap.

Damn. All I can remember from that is
"It's The Legend of Zelda and it's really rad
Those bad guys from Gannon are pretty bad"

And of course "Go Link, Go Link, Go" though that might've been from something else.

I don't think the Supervision was technologically superior...

The TurboExpress doesn't count because it was a portable TG-16. That's it.

And the GameGear was a portable Master System. So?

Game Gear had exclusive titles for it (many of which *did* make their way to the SMS in Europe but that's another story) whereas the TurboExpress used TG-16 game cards. There were no exclusive games for it.

I still don't see why you wouldn't count it.

Well, it did cost some insane amount of money, like most Turbo products....

Ya know, looking at sega arcade games and stuff, im starting to wonder if they were funded by the government. A lot of games have the "dont do drugs" and "throw your trash away" stuff in it. Maybe thats just the arcade though, but I thought that was interesing.

I wouldn't count it because it was basically a portable version of a game system - kinda like if Nintendo released a portable NES. No special games, not many special features, just a normal NES in small form.

The Game Gear's debatable but it saw quite a few unique titles *AND* it basically replaced the SMS in North America.

A lot of late-80s/early-90s arcade games are like that, not just Sega's.

"WINNERS DON'T USE DRUGS. -WILLIAM S. SESSIONS, DIRECTOR, FBI"

Good stuff. I think his initial was an S.

Yeah people were required to put the winners don't to drugs thing in their games. I'm not sure if they still are.

Well, but drug references are frowned upon.

And drinks are often alcoholic free in some games, I wonder why. *cough*

Because the player would get frustrated if the game started to look weird because of their character being drunk.

You know what would be cool? An FPS in which you could be drunk. Trying to kill while having a shitty sight.

Funny thing is that I could still kill everything that moved even with my sight being messed up. After having completed the game, that is.
