yeah, they are 99.9% identical except the bottom one--i'm seeing he is showing his teeth as he smiles...but it's too hard to tell on this LCD screen

I guess that everybody's saying they're the same, but there is a noticable difference. Gotta look at the skin tone very hard, and you'll notice that the bottom one has it better than the top. Otherwise, they are pretty much the same, but I think it's safe to say that the bottom one is better.

Oy. People, the top one is full scale and not edited, just fitted into a 60x60 scale. The second one shows a bit more (black bits of the boarder, more of his clothes) but is shrunk (and thus smoothed) ever so slightly due to shrinking it into the 60x60 space. Clearly people think that looks better, so I'll go with that.

Hey, don't need to scold over it. We were just trying to help by looking at it real closely. I didn't really notice the change in size until just now though... *Smacks forehead* At least there's a good understanding why you had trouble which was better.

Stategy games are not boring, especially the Fire Emblem and Wars series. Fire Emblem is a strategy/RPG.

And if you don't know what Mora was talking about, you're a moron. Oh wait, we knew that. >.>

Well, I know that strategy games aren't boring. But a lot of them are just plain hard at times, or maybe that's just me... I mean, I seem to always get my ass kicked in Starcraft for some reason, no matter how good I got. Same with Chess and such. Oh well, I guess that I'll stick to the strategy RPG's or something, since it's easier.

Well, that was a very unique little comic.

Trapster - I'm not a huge fan of turn-based games but it depends on the mechanics - I'd lean towards RPG strategy games over military ones for sure. RTS games usually sit well with me at least in the early going. Then I get too involved in micromanagement.

Yeah, RPG strategy is pretty fun. I like the Shining Force games.

Have a few of them on my computer.

The best real time strategy game is the orginal Red alert. I'm good at Starcraft too, but sometimes I belive that game is so overated...

Strategy games are fun, both real-time and turnbased ones. Hell my absoulte favorite game is a turnbased game (Civilazation).

I don't own Starcraft, but somehow just a few games of it was enough to make me stand up to amature players.

The only good RTS I'm good at is Starcraft, I have difficulty doing well in any C&C game -- usually die after 10 minutes because the computer already has an army and I have nothing more than infantry to defend

One commone strategy is tank rushing in the CnC games, althought I know how to counter it easily.

In RTS games you have to be fast, and you have to use every small trick to do things faster.

I wish the computers was more smart in the RTS games, hell I wouldn't mind if the computer did cheat some just to get up to my amount of power.

Depends on the game and on the AI - some RTS games have extremely good computer AI comparable to a decent player, and others don't even prepare you for online play.

Then again, most of them follow set patterns.

Precisely the reason I hate multiplayer or high level computer AoE games. It's all about rushes, and it's all about knowing the shortkeys and all that crap and I find that annoying. The whole point is to build an empire while kicking the opponent's ass, not crushing them before it begins.

I hate shortkeys.

Okay, tell me how you counter it. With your own Tank Rush?

And yeah, the computers are easy to destroy.
