Okay, I know this question has been asked plenty of times before -- and I since I can't look at the old threads that this question was answered again, I have to ask it now. Anyway, a few of my users have been complaining of login problems when they login to my board -- they receive the two header errors when they try it. Oftentimes, I would open all essential php files and get rid of the spaces on the bottom of the file, and that would cure it for a time. But then it keeps coming back!! My question is -- is it something that I'm doing to those files that's making those spaces appear? The board URL is: www.nihongofreak.com/board Here is the Cookie Path portion of config.php: //Cookie path $domain="nihongofreak.com"; $folder="/"; (I'm thinking maybe it should be "/board/" instead of just "/".) And $domain should be "www.nihongofreak.com" ... As for the header errors caused by empty lines in the code, I never had problems with them always coming back But there's only a few files that can cause it (layout.php, fonction.php, config.php, colors.php, anything that's used everywhere) ... |

I was afriad to go agains't Acmlm myself by saying that. My board is set at: $domain="evogaming.netho.tk" I've also had boards in the past with $folder="/" and $folder="/board/" so I really don't know what to say about that. Other than config.php is the most annoying part about putting up a board. (edited by Xeogred on 03-23-04 03:02 PM) (edited by Xeogred on 03-23-04 03:03 PM) |

lol, it's still happening. . . But I'm curious about something though -- do you think it could have something to do with the permissions of each file, everytime the files are accessed they're being written to? |

actually it doesn't matter you can pretty much set cookie domain to I like to eat pie and folder to on thursdays and it will still work the domain and folder just assign a "label" to the cookie then the cookie of course has it's name...... so the config file just tells it to assign domain / folder to the cookie and it has it's name so when it reads / sets cookies it is just another identifier maybe you'd have less problems, and more help getting them solved if you had a real webhost *cough* instead of Lunar-We-Like-To-Charge-You-For-Everything-We-Can-Pages (edited by ErkDog on 03-27-04 08:04 PM) |
