| Minagi glanced over at Kirb for an instant, but ignored him and moved towards Washu's tube. Minagi: So, you're the great Washu, creator of Ryoko, Ryo-Ohki, Souja... Washu: That's me. Minagi: You won't be joking once we find where you've hidden the third gem. Sailor Venus: *turns to Draco* Do you ever get tired of being ignored? Draco: Every single day of my life.  ---------- Meanwhile, in Melvin's former office... Haruko was relieved to have been untied after she and her captors found out she was pregnant... That part still bothered her though. How could she be this far along in her pregnancy so soon after she and Jack er... "moved in together"? Smithy stood behind her, making sure she didn't try anything... SLICK was still sitting in Melvin's chair facing the opposite direction. Not once had she yet caught a glimpse of him. A screen had been pulled down over the window. On it, a pale-skinned man with white hair and yellow eyes with red pupils was having a conversation with SLICK. SLICK: Capturing them wasn't part of the plan. Kagato: Until I get that gem, your personal vendetta can wait. SLICK: Don't forget, Kagato, all I have to do is press a button and that bracelet will return you to a more... "restful" state. Kagato: ... SLICK: Alright, you can interrogate them about the gem, but just remember- Kirbynite is mine. Haruko: *thinking* ~Kirbynite?~ SLICK: Hmm... | Melvin wasn't taking his captivity too well. The silence was distubed by repeating gunshots, as he drew a pair of MP5's out of his coat and began to shoot wildly towards at the protective shell. Half a minute later, Melvin was standing ankle-deep in bullet casings and smashed projectiles. He reached to his side, and twisted the face of his watch, then swung his arm around diagonally, a bright ruby beam following his path, attempting to cut into the tube, but leaving nothing more than a black spot. He wasn't quite done yet - he decided to pull out his trusty Castor Rifle, load it with a No. 3, and blow the bejeezus out of the tube, which simply seemed to drink up the gun's energy as if it were water. After that ordeal, he put the smoking gun away, and slumped down into the pile of bullet casings. Melvin: Well, there's no way we're getting out of these, unless Kagato, or whatever the hell JD said his name is, wants us to. |

Not that that was entirely out of the plan to begin with. JDavis: ... And what's the good news? The one that involved the future children of his own little troupe's. "Heh... They called me crazy.. but I was right.. The scripts aren't set in stone. It's just something to help direct... But... then that means... There's the huge possibility where.. I might not be able to find my light.. " Kirbynite's eyes disappeared underneath his red cap's shadow. Something was troubling him. "Wait! This isn't the time for me to be worrying about stuff related to me." Kirbynite: *stands up* Hey! Four-eyes! (Well, they're more like tiny sun glasses) Don't you know it's wise not to be saying something like that? It's just gonna incite anger and hidden power.. and... and such! | Melvin scratched his chin, looking around the room. He was helpless at the moment, being trapped in the tube as he was. However, as he considered his options, a dreadful, twisted, horrible idea began to scratch at the back of his mind -- wouldn't this be the perfect opportunity to take control of the situation? He could easily backstab his friends, team up with Kagato, and reclaim Japan as his own, and without the pesky Acmlm Folk in his way, the world... Various ideas conflicted in his mind for a moment, and then he made his decision, stepping up and clearing his throat, his eyes hidden behind glasses that shone brighter than ever before. Melvin: The puff is lying, my friend. However... He grinned madly, a dangerous look in his eyes. Melvin: I know where the gem is. |

| Kagato: Do you two really think I'm that naive? You know, perhaps I should get SLICK on the videophone so we can persuade you through... alternative means, if you catch my meaning. Jack: *snaps out of it* ... You kidnap Haruko... Kagato: I didn't do that, SLICK did. Jack: You capture and torture me.... Then you threaten Haruko and our unborn child! JDavis: Daughter. Jack: That's three strikes- Jack's tube suddenly bursts apart. The shards from it jab into the neighboring tubes (Kirb's and Melvin's), but do not break them. Kagato and Minagi block the shards with their energy shields. When the dust clears, Jack is standing in front of where his tube was... He appears to be larger, more muscular, his clothes more tightly fitting. Also his eyes are solid white, his wings are spread out to their full length (blocking the view of Kirb and Melvin), and it appears as if wind is blowing upward from his feet, causing his hair, clothes, and feathers to sway back and forth a little. Jack: And you're out! ((OoC JDavis: *animefall* I'd like to say that's one of the worst pieces of dialog I've written... But there's worse in The Coming of Darkness )) |

He pressed his body backwards and slid down to a sitting position. "Holy cucco! I honestly didn't think Jack was gonna snap out of it now. And man.. Those huge wings are in the way of the action..." | A dangerous gleam reflected off of Melvin's glasses - he had a plan. Melvin: You rat bastard. You walk in and take control of everything myself, my family, and my friends poured their blood, sweat, and tears into. You turn the people I care most about against me. You threaten my friends. You brainwash those I care about. AND, you insult my robot. Now, I'm mad. Both of Melvin's hands dove into his pockets, and game out with black gloves on, each with small yellow electrodes dotting the black material, connected by a thin network of yellow gold stripes. The entire network begins to glow a brihgt yellow, small pulses of electricity running into the gloves, which begin to glow a bright yellow. Moving his hands as if his left was holding a scabbard and the right was drawing out a sword, he clenched his right hand, as a large yellow beam of light erupted from it, forming a single solid shaft of light. Melvin: I was hoping to save this for a special occasion - But I'll make sure it use it to the fullest to destroy you! Melvin leapt into the air, all of his anger funneling into the blade, as he cut into the front of the tube with a single diagonal cut. And from that cut, small cracks in the tube began to grow, and encompass the entire tube - which fell apart in all it's splendor, the shards clattering to the ground around him. |

| JDavis: It only worked because of the tube's structural integrity already being weakened by the shards. Now hurry up and get the rest of us out! Washu: The green right triangle at the base is the release. Jack and Minagi glare at each other for a moment. Minagi begins to hover in the air. Suddenly, the two dive at each other, fighting in the air as they circle about one another. In the shuffle, Kagato is knocked across the room by one of Jack's wings. Minagi, realizing there's not enough space in the room, flies upwards, shifting through the ceiling. Jack follows her, the material of the ceiling visibly bending to allow his passage before returning to normal. |
