| Is there anything that makes you punch the radio when you hear it? For me, it's that godforsaken Nickelback song that starts out with "I like your pants around your feet". I'm not averse to songs about sex (hell, I'm a big fan of E-Rotic, which is a Eurodance group that puts on amusingly campy and catchy tunes about this woman who has relationships with all these different guys), but this song is just irritatingly dirty. | |||

| I actually like some Nickelback stuff, namely "This is How You Remind Me" and "Someday", because it's interesting and not squicky and foul. I like the "Hero" song, too. (Maybe the above paragraph should have gone in the Guilty Pleasure thread... ) I've only heard one John Mayer song - "Your Body is a Wonderland" - on a station that used to have an interesting format (random, usually good, new stuff + '80s pop) before some dipshit decided to change it to "Rock that really rocks" (no, I am not kidding - that really is their new slogan). It was boring and crappy, and once I knew what it was, I'd change the channel right after the DJ announced it. |

There are exctremely few songs I loathe, but what I REALLY hate are Artists who overcook a song, Yes I'm talking about YOU Celine Dion and Mariah Carey, because when you mess about with a song that much, you suck all emotion out of it. The songs themselves are sound (I happen to like "My heart will go on", just the dance versions's better). | Marco Borsato. This is a Dutch singer most of you will never have the badluck of knowing, but sadly, I worked at a McDo's with a local fanclub not even a month ago. Basically picture overdone schlagersongs, and you're there. The same goes for any song that gets played too much on the radio, or on my shared tv. Thank God for moving to Sweden and the total lack of radio and music television. |
