I know I said I wouldn't post any more screens of my Yoshi's Island hack...so I'm sorry...I just wanted to post some screens for the people who are interested in my hack.

Here is a shot of my new title screen. Not much is changed, but I did change the title to Super Mario World 2 +, and I changed the copyright date to 2004-2005.

This is a screen from 2-1: Mother Ducker. As suggested by the title, it contains the mother ducks with their babies.

Another screen from 2-1. Here I made some tricky cross sections. They take very long to make and need many adjustments. So, voila.

This is from 2-2: The Cave of Confusion. This level contains a number of brain teasers, but no deadly puzzles or puzzles you really need to beat the level, just to get bonus items.

Just as a note to those people who are interested...I'm not releasing the hack on this board. It will only appear on my site. I will release a small beta after I finish 2-2. It's only 2 new levels, but they're pretty big, and I've also added new midpoints to the previous levels, and fixed some bugs in 1-5. My testers will be Cpu, Aioria, and Jesper.

... "Mother Ducker"?

Is that supposed to be a euphamism for something?

1: One question: Why is the star there? Isn't it not supposed to be there until you beat the game once?
2: Funny name, looks hectic.
3: Good.
4: Its a cave level... other than that... don't know what to say about it since there isn't a lot of action...

Overall: Good work.

Moving right along...here are a couple of screens from 2-3: Yoshi's Workout Plan. It's a level with a variety of moving platforms that will keep Yoshi jumping all around.

Here's the first shot...not too much action around here...but it's only the beginning of the level.

Now here comes the fun. Yoshi must balance on that tricky platform and jump over them baddies.

Amazing...

Looking at these screenshots, I truly get the feeling of a "real" work in progress. This hack isn't just a copy of the original with a few new blocks and graphics here and there -- you've set out to create something that doesn't rely on the original levels as a skeleton, and that undertaking is something I must admire.

I know you've probably already said this somewhere, but... at your current rate, when do you *guess* that the whole thing will be completed? You know there's nothing like playing a completed work, with nothing left to go. I'll be waiting for it whenever you finish. Good luck, and keep at it for yourself!

Nice... good work. Although it isn't really hard to dodge those guys. Just throw an egg and they are done with.

Good work, though.

The new levels are truly awesome - atleast 2-1 and 2-2, as those are the only ones in World 2 that I've played. Yet. (hint hint.)

Don't fret, you will have the chance to play 2-3 and 2-4 pretty soon. I am going to post a new demo on my site after I finish 2-4. I know it may be a bit too much...since this will be the third demo of this hack, but these levels take very long to make...especially when you make really big ones. But remember, I'm only going to put it on my site, not at the board, this way I can get the feedback from the people I want and not be discouraged by getting little replies at the board. I will notify the people on my list who were interested in playing it once I upload it on my site, anyone else who wants to play it, check my site until the new demo shows up.

2-4 looks... decent, but since the boss is a Boo, shouldn't the level be filled with Boos? It would make since... then again, I didn't fill my 1-8 with Salvos...

Looking good. Can't wait to play it.

I don't want to make the levels too similar to the original. So, if I had Boo's, it would be kind of like the original 2-4. Besides, I may make a different boss for that level anyway.

Now that I think about it, you didn't have any Bashfuls in your 1-4, or any Salvos in your 1-8, so I wouldn't talk .
