You'll have to make sure it has a good story, and is well written. I guess that's pretty obvious since it's a Text-RPG, but... Oh well. I guess it's true that alot of Square games relate to the killing of a godly figure, but other games have used the idea of destroying a demonic creature.

You take a basic concept, add an extra layer of management, time. The calculations base itself on contradiction or success. If you do things properly and don't cause a contridiction, the effect will succeed. If you cause a contridiction, like getting your troops to attack after seeing the enemy forces attacking your base, assuming that he doesn't have much, go back in time and move your troops. When you get to real time, if the troops reach that point, and intersect with current matter, it would cause a contridiction, cancelling out effects that occured and thus weakening yourself.

That sounds like a great idea EvillerLegion. It would be weird, but it would probably be pretty fun to play.

Let's see.....

Something like a classic RPG (Let's say FFX-2) but with some changes:

-You can create your own combo attacks. This combo can consist of any number of strikes. But with each strikes you'd deal, you would lose stamina. No stamina = No combo.

-You can counterattack/dodge ennemies attack. You would need to press a certain button at a determinated time. Depending on the enemy's skill, he could counter-attack your own counter-attack, to create a spectacular fight.

-At a point of the game, you can begin to forge your own weapon, choosing their attributes (Of course the price would increase for every points of stats this would give you and you'd need materials for every effects).

-The battlefield itself would have an effect on your character. If the place where you are is cold, it may affact your character.

-You could also create your spells (Instead of naming everthing you can create, lets just say everything is customisable).

-That's it for now.

I'm working on a game with Visual Basic that's like Risk, Monopoly, any collectable card game combined.

It's called "The Amazing Game of World Domination".

The goal is to control all the countries on a board. When you land on a free country, you can take it automatically or move on. When you land on an occupied country, you can take it over if you have enough troops, you can buy it off of the owner of the country, or you can just stay there and pay a minimal amount of money.

Red spaces are countries, green spaces are board events (like coups, civil war, crises, international war), purple spaces are you can draw for an item (like diplomatic immunity, generators, socialism, virii and bribes and much more) and white spaces are you getting free stuff, like money, and troops.

Unlike in Risk and Monopoly, where you can get free units and money, you don't get that kind of things, unless you make a good deal with your playing friends.

Emptyeye: Well, there would be a limit (no other instant death spells except for the ones that already exist).

I also though of other things:
-You would have the "accuracy" stat. You could target *predefinited* part of your enemy but the chances you hit there depends on your accuracy.
-Anything that protect you (armor,helmets,gloves...) would only protect the body part where it is wield. Heavy armors can affect speed and agility but protect more of the body.

Darkslaya, those statistic already exist in probably the best RPG ever. Star Wars: KOTOR

Although spell creation sounds kind of interesting, I think that it should be spell CUSTOMIZATION. Sacrifice some damage on a water spell, but now it has a chance to do poison infliction or another sort of status. But the best thing would be for you to be able to design the effects, so that you could make your wizard or whatever, have really evil looking spells, should you choose to play that way.

I thought it existed but I have ideas to actually make what I said different.
I also have to say that there will character classes. Wait, maybe the player will be able to create his own class at a certain point of the game...

I'm gonna make a game based on Pokemon.
Pokemon: Team Rocket Strikes Back!
Giovanni has returned! He meets up with his Team Rocket and they prepare to get revenge. BEWARE!!!
But I can't find any utilities...
And I was also thinking about making a game based on the pokemon tv series.

I want to try to make a text adventure game about going to the supermarket. I want to make it so you can get whatever you want and have the game respond to anything you could possibly NOT find in a supermarket.

Name- Bounty Hunter: Judgement Day

Type- Tactical 1st/3rd person shooter (debating about PoV)

Concept- You are a bounty hunter living on the streets of a backwater city. Only you and your ship, the Nighthawk. You start off with just a little money, and you have to buy you guns n' ammo and body armor, upgrades, and what-not. Upgrades like rocket propoltion to guns, or scopes, etc. Then, at the Bounty Office, you get a list of bounties with rewards (dead only, of course). Then you pick you main weapon (1), like an assault rifle or a tactical 12 gauge, etc, and your sidearms (2) like pistols, sub-machine guns, snipers, grenades, etc.. Don't forget your trusty knife for sneaking up on enemies and silently killing them. You get a little money for even killing guards. There will be some sequences in which you must man the gunner's seat of your ship and fight off some enemy ships. Huge boss monsters, like a golem, from a mad scientist's lair will fight you to the death. It'll be so awesome!

Platform- XBOX, PC
Release- 2005, 2006?

Well, this isn't exactly creatable in GameMaker, but I want to also make a sequel to Pokemon, like a sequel to PKMN Emerald. In said sequel, if you trade new pokemon from further versions to the game it changes one of the glitch pokemon into that real pokemon, like "downloading" the data and such. Then you can even find them in the wild! But I don't think that's possible w/ GameMaker. I wonder if Nintendo's gonna do that soon...

You are saying a lot of customizations that are in Pen and Paper Rpgs like D+D. And i must say, a video game with the customization of D+D would be very cool, maybe even cooler than morrowind! THUG also has a lot of customizing. (THUG = Tony Hawk's UnderGround)

I don't really have an idea for a game, but if i did make a game, it'd be in C or Xbasic or something, not RPGmaker or somesuch.
