...And that makes it different from the *previous* stress test... how?  I mean, maybe it's a couple of thousand more people (including the *interested* FilePlanet people) but I would have thought that the open beta would be the ultimate stress test. |

| Apparantly there's a limited ammount of accounts, so it's like, an open yet closed beta You can subscribe through fileplanet (which I'm trying to since worldofwarcraft.com is down) but it seems I'm getting some browser error. | I'm kinda convincing about this game after I saw it on TV, but i'm still unsure about buying it. I hope the open beta will be over the christmas. But they probably are setting for Christmas release... I wish WoW site did go up. I so want more info.  |

The open beta signups HAVE begun so HURRY.  There's only x number of spots available (I'd guess in the ballpark of 100,000-120,000, depending how many test servers there are).Luckily, after tons of server problems on Blizzard's end... my signup went flawlessly.  |

| Well, both me and sofie signed up today, and you could pick different countries than new zealand, australia and north america so I guess people not from those countries can apply too, of course I didn't read the 500 page long agreement either.. It's downloading now, and it's sloooooow. I doubt people leave it open to seed since they probably don't know how bittorrent works. It fluctuates between 10-40kb/s so it'll take a day or so |

| Didn't stop Europeans from joining the stress test en masse. I'm just warning you - IF you're allowed on, you'll probably notice a bit of lag. They're already planning to segregate the servers for the first few months (keeping North Americans in North America, Europeans in Europe, etc.) to avoid lag. |

If they only want people from those countries they shouldn't have a list with all the countries available >( Besides, I may just have slipped from U to S  And if they really wanted to check stuff like that they can just check the ip, that should tell where most are from. I'm at 53% on the download now. |
