I <3 Nell.

Its funny to see how your opinions changed after playing the game...it reminds me of me...before and after I played the game.

Oh and Adrian you think those MP monsters are nothing now? Just you wait *evil laughter*

he didn't want to try those mushrooms at first when I told him they did mp damage <<;
I don't have much of a different opinion, there's just some things you can't know untill you play. Such as Nel being waaaay cooler than the guys and stuff.
I wish I could check out the item creation crap; wondering when that comes into play.

You cant do that until you reach some city that I forgot the name of...but trust me when I say this. Your NOT looking forward to item creation, you might think you are but your not. Its like throwing away as much money as possible and hoping youll get something good out of it.

Sounds alot like SO2 then. The trick there was to reload all the time, but it actually had a use there.
(if your character created something, they had a chance to unlock a secret talent, which gave 100 free SP, which helped alot to build some skills early on)

Well dont expect that here.

Creating items is just a way to spend money making something that you can spend even more money on later when you buy it from shops.

To create the good weapons you have to let the "mini game" leech your money like a giant radioactive cyber worm!!! until you feel your lucky enough to stop it. Then most likely youll have spent all your money creating a "nasty lump" thats an actual item in the game...its use...I dont know.

Huh? I've made some good shit for free using item creation. I spent about 300 gold making Mithyril Armor that upped my defense by 40 points. I'd say that's pretty damn good. Only got a 60 on it though.

Sofie, about the expensive weapons, I bet you were in the town where you escaped from the dungeon. Those were suppose to be rediculously priced. When you move on to other cities, then you'll find the weapons and armor you're suppose to have.

Oh, and has anyone gotten 99.0% on a map yet? You get a little somthin' somethin'.

Anyway, the game gets a lot better battle wise once you get more special moves and figure out your own little combo. The sidekick pwns. But what I like to do is go long, then do that thing where Fayt hits the guy up in the air, then I do that backflip sword swipe thing, then when he comes down again I do the double stab thing. It rocks.

Oh, and what the FUCK is up with the Aeris clone Ameena? Come on! She practically looks like her, almost wearing the same clothes AND she's a flower girl.

The battle trophies unlock a lot of features, including Universe mode. This game is pretty hard, and I'm not sure I'm ready for the next level difficulty shock. There are 300 battle trophies, and they have a trophy for just about anything and everything. (10,000 button presses, 5 battles in sucession you entered surrounded, etc.)

Especially my Cliff is suicidal like that. I want more settings for the ones I don't control

That's what the levels of Attack and Defense are for. For the fighter types, a level or 5 or 6 would be well suited.

I'm wondering how exactly you can afford equipment above 20k when you have about 1k max left after buying some berries. There's lots of things I have to get used to, but it hasn't become too hard yet.

You should give the item creation a try, it can potentially be as bad ass as SO2's system. (At least, from what I've seen so far, and I'm not that far into the game yet.) This system also gives you the ability to buy things you've made. Plus, any made armor piece has 5 more defense than that same item bought.

Does this game have more cutscenes than FFX, or am I just imagining things?
I really like the voices most of them got so far
I love Nell. Her voice and design and shifty eyething... *dreams of mad lesbian secks*

I dunno.
Yeah, the voice-overs are great so far, Cliff especially.
And yes, Nel acts all bad ass. But like all casters, weak.

I added to the combo, after all of that, I use a sidekick for maximum pwnage. =D

Still making items right now but I need Grats so I can make some better stuff. I just figured out what I was doing wrong. You have to watch their faces and not just "guess" when the item is done.

They've made the dungeons waaaaaaay too big and maze-like. I hate that fairy's voice in the forest.
:highpitched: "That's not a tree, that's a monster" :/highpitched:
And the dungeon before that... -.- 4 floors of madness. Without my pwetty Nel to heal
Leno, she may be weak in your game, but Nel+ earthspike= major damage. Just too bad she oesn't know when to lay off and conserve mp XD
It's fun to play, but the constant straying away of the main quest at that point can get rather bleh. I just knew when Aeris said she was going to pick flowers, I'd have to go rescue her.
I dig some of the realism they tried to bring into some of the towns.
Can anyone tell me if the fox kid is any good? He looks very goofy, and I'm assuming you can't recruit everyone in this SO either.

Hell join up with you no matter what later on...then leave...then you can find him again and he'll stay with you for a while longer.

Personally I like the Roger, his moves are pretty cool and hes fun to play with. My only problem was that he was WAAAAAY underleveled compared to my characters who are WAAAAAAAY underleveled compared to the monsters. So there ya go.

i can't tell you what level you should be, just that there's an easy way of leveling up if you have a safe point/healing point combo. Just go into the closest room that has enemies in it and kill those off, exit, enter again and kill again, rinse and repeat.
You'll eventually fill up the bonus battle gauge and hopefully the last blow you dealt to fill it up was a weak blow (x button), making the bonus triple exp. Leveling will go really fast then, and you don't have to worry about anything, since you can just go and heal up when neccesairy. Just keep the one you're controlling on standby, since the bonus gauge breaks alot faster if your bonus is triple exp for some reason -.-

I just synthesized my radiant sword.

My character is Level 31

My sword has an attack power of 893.

Fucking, owned. >=D

Oh my god, this item creation/synth is fucking awesome. It's costly though. My weapon cost me about 100k just to make it.

Well, I made some of that orchialium stuff (however you spell it) , duped it, then synthed it onto my already uber sword. Holy crap, I'm going to be kicking ass now. I'm going to go do it for Nel and Cliff now. If I have enough left. And it doesn't matter anyway, I can make Rune Blades for 5000ish on the first try then sell them back for 10,500. muahahahaha!

EDIT: omfg, I just created gauntlets for Cliff which maxed out the attack. 999 damage!

Oh, and Sion, I just got to the fire cave. Bet you wish you would have spent a little more time in item creation don't you?

You need Mackwell and Misty. (And Maria)

Then you'll do the alchemy option for new item, then get one around 5k or so.

Then you'll take that and double it by doing specify plan next on the orichalcum.

Nexxxxt you synthesize it to the weapon of your choice for uber damage.

Hope you have some cash saved up. My weapons were around 100k each after it was all said and done. Each.

Sophia is the best healer you can get....one HUGE problem though...You get her at the end of the game and shes at level 1

Theres also Adray a magic swordsman, you have to go to Aqious at a certain part of the game and he'll join you. If you miss your chance hes gone forever. Personally I like to have Nel and Adray with me so major healing can get done.
