Are there any NES emulators that both work with XP, and load .STA savestates (NESticle format)?

I believe there's a version of Nesticle for Windows, I think Zophar.net has it listed, and I haven't tried nesticle .sta files with FCEU yet.

The Windows version of NESticle works under XP. Also, the RockNES X emulators can load STA files, however it can be slightly glitchy.

Depending on which game you're trying to copy savestates from, you could also try with the battery save files, they tend to be more compatible between emulators I know I've transferred saves between emulators before, just not sure about savestates ...

If you don't mind starting over all your games, Jnes is very good. It is what I use for Mario's Fantasy Adventure.

I never really saw the appeal to JNes. The emulation is decent, but it really lacks features. I mean there's several others that emulate as/more accurate, and have more features. It seems to be popular though... so meh. |

JNes was fine for a while but the problem was that it didn't get updated... and therefore was left behind in the dust. If you're going to emulate the NES, at least get one of the more recent, frequently updated/supported emulators. |
