Manics, Manics, Manics! Franz Ferdinand is not that good, they're just new and hip, is all. MSP is great!

Manic Street Preachers. I'll go for established good pop over flash in the pan style and swagger here. Franz Ferdinand, while pretty much un-dislikeable, and despite David Byrne saying they actually remind him of Talking Heads, have yet to show me that they are anytihng other than just hipness and style. They're not bad or offensively derivative... I'm just wary of anything this hyped and only time will tell how they manage. |

Oh, Franz Ferdinand, definately. First, off, I'll never get a zero on my WWI test (all I gotta do is think of the band), and "Take Me Out" totally kicks ass-loads of ass.

Oooh... why do they gotsta be in the close matchups? (Manics, not Franz Ferdinand.) I'm going with them, though, because they're not all potential right now. Already established.

Manic Streer Preachers: if for no other reason than their rendition of the M.A.S.H. theme song, which i absolutely love. They have a few other good ones like Kevin Carter, A Design for Life, Ocean Spray, If You Tolerate This

I like the Manics, but I'm afraid the Franz are going to be here for a while yet.

Manics are clearly the better band. They've already earned their place in Rock history, whereas Franz are comparitively just making a start. You cannot compare these two bands when it comes to excellence, Manic Street Preachers all the way |

I really enjoy Franz Ferdinand, the album I own is actually nice and soothing. All around good. But the single untitled song I heard at my friend's place by MSP left me in shock and awe. Not at its pure awesome. I hear lots of that, but at the way it just sounded very unorthodox. |

Is there no way to find out which song it was? I'd love to know which one you listened to |
