First I'd like to say I've been using the newbie sticky, and it has been helpful, but I'm running into trouble.

I'm trying to use the Super Mario 2 World 1 ExGFX. I've been successful in getting it to appear. I used the map16 to have the graphics appear in the 16x16 tile editor. Now, I've been trying to do 2 things, but I'm having trouble. The smb2 graphics of a plant, keeps saying it's a cement block. I figured out how to change it to become one of the bushes, OR so I thought. When I have the mouse hang over the graphic, it says it's a bush. So, I add the tree into my level. I go to play the level, and the tree is like a stone block. I can't move through it, and I can stand on the tree. I'm having the same problem with the red doors from smb2. they're stone blocks. I've spent an hour trying to figure out how to use Extended Animation Frames, but it's like a foriegn language. The sticky really doesn't explain and help with everything step by step. Yes, I'm a newb to the Animation Frames, but so far, I think I've progressed very well. Please, could someone explain step by step, how to make a tree from smb2 as a bush from smw, and a door from smb2 to a door from smw. Thank You! :-)

Okay, I think that what you explained there has noting to do with animations. You want a door from SMB2 to act like the doors in SMW? And you want a tree from SMB2 to act like a bush tile (or so you can walk through it)?

For the door, make it so you have the graphics you want in the 16x16 editor. Now select the top of the door and click Edit 16x16 properties (I dont have LM here right now, so I just hope that I have the next part correct). Change the number 130 (at the bottom) to 20. That is the same # as the SMW door top. And change the bottom half to 21. Now place the door.

For the tree, just do the same thing but make the number 25 instead.

NOW HIT F9 IN THE 16X16 EDITOR!! This will save your changes, graphics, numbers etc. so that they will act like this when you play your game.

If this is what your having trouble with I hope this helps. If this isn't your problem please explain clearer.
