1) OK I'm currently using lunar magic to make a SBW hack. Is there any way to expand the rom so I could add my own pictures, like backgrounds and stuff, and so it would open them up in lunar magic's 16x16 Tile Map editor? Well I bacically need a way to add my own pictures into lunar magic so I could use them for backgrounds and like the overworld map editor(I know theres alot of extra space there but how do I put my own pictures in there?)

2)Can someone explain to me on the overworld map, how to do events. I read the help file and I can do the other stuff on the overworld map but I can't do events. I need someone to explain it to me....

-Thanks!!

1. Not unless the pictures have very few colors. It's basically a complex process of drawing it in to the 8x8 editor and assembling them in the 16x16 editor.

2. Ugh... Basically you set the level to activate the certain event when passed, right? Then you go click on the mountain with the star on it. Press Page up and page down to select the appropriate event (it'll say which event it's on near the bottom). Open the layer two event tile selector, press down until you get to the appropriate page, and paste them in in the order you want them to appear in. Home and End cycle through steps like Page Up and Page Down cycle through events. You can make your own tiles in the Layer 2 8x8 mode by putting them appropriate tiles to the right of the overworld. Open the 8x8 Overworld Tile Selector and paste stuff in from that as the tiles you want. Additionally, after you've done all the event in question, you can make silent steps (these don't appear on-screen and are good for editing on different submaps without the OW glitching up a bit) by holding shift as you paste an event tile in; all after it on that event will be silent steps. You can make an event with nothing but silent steps, as well.

Ugh. Hope that helped though it probably didn't, I'm not too good at explaining things.

The 2nd answer sort of helped. Thanks.

I know about the few colors. I found a way to extract the background graphics(By pressing F7 on the 16x16 tile map editor window, and F8 to put them back). But I don't know what format it is in....It looks like mostly garbage in TLP and YY. Does anyone know what format it's in?

I thought f7 saved the data to the ROM...

In any case, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to make a background based on that.

It's just data detailing what tiles draw from where, I believe. In any case, it's not graphics.

Yeah, it's still stuck on the default. Like I said, go in to the Event Tile Selector (Icon for it is between the blue switch and the star, looks like a path tile), press up and down to select a page, click on the tile you want, and right click to paste it in. If you've done something you don't want, click on the tile and press Delete.

OK so let me get this straight. Whats the differance between Layer 1 Event Editor Mode and Layer 2 Event Editor Mode?

Layer one, highlights stuff.

Layer 1 is for path tiles that become active after certain events. You probably won't need it; having all the paths in from the start and giving access through beating levels is just as good most of the time. Layer 2 is for graphics that show up after certain events.
