You hear it first: The Best College QB/RB Heisman Trophy goes to...

Matt Leinart, USC.

Oh, Eric Crouch? Nice shirt. Twit.

Voting results:
1. Matt Leinart (USC)
2. Adrian Peterson (Oklahoma)
3. Jason White (Oklahoma)
4. Alex Smith (Utah)
5. Reggie Bush (USC)

Wow. Peterson's a freshman and finished second. He almost declared under the Clarett Doctrine, and maybe he coulda carried himself in the NFL too.

In other news, Notre Dame has a coach: Patriots offensive coordinator Charlie Weis gets six years. Maybe he got tired of waiting for an NFL opening?

You mean "The Best College upperclassman QB/RB Heisman Trophy"?

Matt Leinart, huh? Fair enough; actually I would have been fine with any of them winning besides White, although he was more deserving to win this year than he was last year. Nothin' against him or Oklahoma; I just don't want Archie Griffin to have company in the record book.

Oh yeah, I did miss that detail, 46.

Kinda funny how they were ahead of the curve on White (who I don't think anyone outside of Oklahoma boosters REALLY wanted to win the Heisman, and even then that's only because they figured Peterson couldn't win as a freshman... we know he deserved an equal shot) with him winning last year, but Leinart does deserve it this year out of the upperclassmen. Maybe Smith if he played in a bigger conference.

Oh man, did the Sooners get destroyed. Ha ha, I knew they were overrated. Of course, I think the Trojans are overrated too, but that's a different story.

Hahaha! Yes, we need a head to head match of the last two major undefeateds... hell, throw Utah in the mix for the hell of it!

Seriously, Alex Smith should have had a better chance at the Heisman... hopefully one day there will be enough parity in the NCAA Div1-A football to have it so that mid major teams have national title shots and their players have heisman shots.
