Well at least everyone got to see that Zwick isn't the only problem at Ohio State. Troy Smith didn't do much better, and it wasn't even his fault, either. He led them to a scoring drive once Iowa put its 2nd team defense on the field.

The Iowa fans were chanting "Motor City Bowl" as Ohio State left the field, and as insulting as that really was, I think that would be awesome, especially if Toledo could also get to the Motor City Bowl, getting to watch my two favorite teams battle it out and all. I'd camp out overnight for those tickets. Right now Toledo would probably run them right off the field, but if OSU can figure out a way to get the ball in the hands of their receivers like they should, they should get back on track and won't ultimately sink that low in the conference.

Ugh. I stopped watching the game at about halftime. We need an O-line. Without a good O-line, we can't give either QB enough time to sit in the pocket and make throws, and we can't get a running game going. Basically, our offense is fucked until we beef up the O-line.

I don't know if anyone cares or not, but RON ZOOK WAS FIRED, the bum.

Head coach of Florida, really sucky, was the "replacement" of Steve Spurrier.

Pooooooooooor Sky. I'm sure he's ACHING over that Stanford loss.

Boston College is one win away from a BCS spot, which is pretty cool.

How about the #1 team in the country? The University of Southern Cal?

They laid a beatdown on Notre Dame yesterday. I was seriously worried when they went down 10-3, but then they came back, thanks to (hopefully) this year's Heisman winner, Matt Leinart!

Someone in one of my classes is an Oklahoma fan...if you ask me, that's as bad as being a Miami fan. I HATE Oklahoma, I HATE Texas, and I HATE Miami.

However, a lot of critics believe USC is beatable and thus, they feel Oklahoma and Auburn should be ahead of USC in the BCS standings... I dunno, the BCS formula is a mess. Pac-10 is already at a disadvantage against the other conferences because we don't have a championship game...but then again, critics could argue that because we don't have a championship game, USC is getting "help"

Bah, Oklahoma shouldn't even be #2, let alone ahead of USC.

Now that the Big East has already extracted every ounce of validity from its conference deserving an automatic Bcs game, It'd be awesome if Colorado beats Oklahoma. Hey, nobody thought the Sooners could lose to Kansas State at this time last year.

But that wouldn't be controversial enough for the Ncaa to pull their heads out of their ass, so we'd need Auburn to fall to Tennessee as well. Would they really end up with a Trojans-Utes championship game? I know they sure hope it doesn't go there!

there are a few critics who wonder why Division I-A is the only Divison in NCAA football not to have a championship game. I mean, a championship game in the fashions of what march madness has for basketball. You know, like last year, if LSU played USC after they won their respective bowl games--that kind of championship game. Use BCS to "seed" teams and then go from there...

Well, a true playoff system would undermine the bowl system, which is steeped in tradition (and moneymaking), but several coaches have advocated a "Bowl Plus" system, which would have all the BCS bowls as normal, then one last final Championship game afterwards.

That would be decent, but still, players are supposed to play. Line two teams up, and let them have it. Screw bowl games, or coverage, play for pride.

It's what the game means that gives pride. Like how proud we are that we beat Michigan. Because that's The Game. We've had it every year for over 100 years. Same goes for the bowls, though to a lesser extent.

But still, there was nothing stopping LSU and USC from lining up last year and going at it. Then instead of both of them complaining, they would have had a winner.

I think having three perfect teams was the ultimate nightmare.

I saw a poll that was done... 70% of people favored Auburn vs. any of the other two at the Sugar Bowl.

The 5 Heisman Candidates:

Jason White, Oklahoma
Adrian Peterson, Oklahoma
Matt Leinart, Usc
Reggie Bush, Usc
Alex Smith, Utah

It'd be interesting if the voters are split among the Oklahoma and Usc players which would lead Smith to pull the upset. I think Leinart will be a lock to win it, though.
