topic basicly says it all...I knew for certian the game was already out because the bastyard at Target had it running on a demo machine, yet claimed they didnt have it in the store until the release date. Either way, someone got ahold of the game and dumped it. I figure I'd post a heads up to anyone who's been interested in trying this baby out in English...it's not bad at all  |

Nintendo can send out demos before the release date you know.  I'm sure it's the usual - someone intercepted a shipment at a store they work at and the rest writes itself. |

| They have the games completed a month before release date. My mom works for Nintendo Of Canada I currently have both of those games in my possession. I also had a GBA 3 months before release and a GC 2 and a half months. There just to lazy to release them. What the public doesnt know is hillarious. | |||

The public gets screwed  oh and Prier...lv 17's hm? I had all lv 22's at misty (Nidoking, Charmeleon, Fearow, and Mankey....gotta take into concideration there not much to catch at this point )...course she still owned most of my team with the damn water-pulse move and recover...Nidoking's trash ended it all |

...i'm the only one who can wait until the release date? I rather want to play it on my real GBA and all... and I also want that wireless thing.  I probably will download it later, just for hacking. And games always take time to get relased after they are finished. Usually becuse of markerting and packaging. |

Wartortle...c'mon...decent water types like this one don't come around often...only one that I'd put next to it was my old Gold Starmie at lv. 100, SURF being attached to him is really not that bad, in fact it's an accurate, decent powered attack. Pidgey, yea...the FLY command, but also can be a real bitch with SKY ATTACK and DOUBLE-EDGE in the original, even though he's a bit low-stat as Pidgeot at Lv. 100. Nidorino I'm waiting a good few levels before I evolve him with a moon stone to Nidoking...he can get some decent stuff up to lv. 35 or 36, I believe. Overall, he'd be the one I'd use the physical attacks with and a Nidorina/Nidoqueen with the specials. Probably one of the underrated evolutions for a -poison-/ground type (since everyone and their brother knows that they're nothing against a Mewtwo or a psychic type that everyone always gets). Course...if I ever got CRUNCH, a dark move, or some decently powered Ghost move like SHADOW BALL...he'll be feeling it (less Mewtwo has RECOVER, then you're fscked). Also, I believe he can use CUT, so this will mean that these five that I have currently are my HM buds. So I got them with the reasoning that I might not have them all the way through, but I've definitely got some overall use for them. |

| decent lineups you got going there....yeah, for my anti-metwo strategy I used to rely on Jolteon to use pin-missle, but ever since his stats were raped in Gold and Silver I relied on Heracross as the anti-psychic. And we all know that Houndoom or even a well bred Mightyena could make Mewtwo cry I'm planning to drop Nidoking for Dugtrio possibly, as I don't see a point in two grounds, but thats in the air. I'm definatly getting a Poliwrath (never tried Politoad but he dosn't seem too appealing), which again leads me to wonder if Primeape will go...two fightings, up in the air (and I may wanna use Hitmonlee too...any suggestions perhaps?)..as for your Wartortle...Bastoise was the best water type of the original 251. Feraligatr and Suicune are the only ones who barely come CLOSE (Feraligatr being lightyears behind Suicune who is a distant yet near second) Lat thing I can think of to add would be...well, I don't have much use for a r/s pokemon in kanto, with the exception of maybe Salamence...he would own dragoite IMHO (edited by MajinBlueDragon on 08-30-04 02:20 PM) |

Great, now you guys got me into it. I'm using Leaf Green, not Fire Red. Voila. Beat Brock and am currently on the way to Mt. Moon. Haven't noticed that many differences so far (maybe a few differences in move allocation and of course some text changes) but it's classic Pokemon so it's all good. |
