I hvae d/l ed Juggling Joker's(?) Happy set and I think it looks AMAZING with YI sprites...so thats what I did. I replaced the rexes with a stretched out shy guy, but the head is messed up. Its about 5 pixels to far left. Why is it doing this? It happens no matter what I do to the sprite. how can I make it line up? |

That is how it is supposed to be. If you look at the normal Rex, you can see that his head doesn't fit directly on his neck. You could probably try something with ASM, but I don't know...

You should just take that in consideration when designing the sprite.

I had this problem earlier and didn't want to design around it, so I found the bytes where the head's horizontal displacement was stored. ROM bytes 0x1984C and 0x1984E both need to be changed from FC to 00. ROM bytes 0x19858 and 0x1985A both need to be changed from 04 to 00. This should take care of your problem... Rex's head also bobs up and down (1 pixel between frames). It's very possible that you want to keep this effect, but if not ROM address 0x19864 should be changed from F1 to F0. Dude, thats awesome!! Thnaks alot! And even more...the head bob! Thtas great...but will it mess up an unedited rex at all? If so, I could probably still get around it with some ExGFX or something But thanks so much for this info!
