Yeah, I meant SMWExpert's tables, can't you see what's wrong with them? They eat the rest of the page. :p

EDIT: Well they sometimes do. :o

Fixed that.
Back to ExGFX. In the SMB3 Waterland tileset, did Knuckles want just the things in the water or the water/clouds/platforms like in 3-2?

Oh, yes, he seems to have done that, now let's stop back-and-forth posting and stop getting off topic before this thing gets closed because of 'spamming'.

I think you shouldn't worry about that, because the other stuff could be put in a separate tileset. But if you have space, either fill in the gaps or rip more similar GFX. Looks like I'm going to have to do a lot of that in the desert. Maybe even put the generic stuff in like wood platforms and such. This way, the hacker can create a truly full SMB3 level with more detail. Just finish ripping the main thing, and tell us how many spare tiles are there. Remember, you don't have to rip all of the tiles, just do the ones that you think are important. If KT15X ripped the whole airship, he wouldn't even have space for the extras or have enough palettes that can work together.

The SMB3 Water tileset is coming along well. So far I've got only some of the background, but it was hard work, copying all that stuff from SMAS to the pixel....
It looks like I'll have enough room to add more objects besides the normal water ones, so expect some wooden platforms or something.

You copied a background? Wow! Why didn't you make it easier by finding the real data in the ROM? Copying is not exactly accurate all the time, especially backgrounds.

Just get any graphics tile viewing program that supports SMAS, I recommend YY-CHR. Open the SMAS ROM, and search for the graphics there. Some games have compressed graphics... :-/

Hmm, that's odd, is the server working strangely again?

I still need desert ideas. I removed the plastic bevel-like giant ugly spined uneven handdrawn cactus, and now there's only half the space consumed. Deserts don't have a lot of detail, you know.

Did you make any recent changes, Coby? I don't know a damn thing about PHP, but in C++ a parse error usually means I forgot a semi-colon. Which can really throw a wrench in the works.

The left one you ripped from a save state with the SMB3 palette support. The right one has SMW color matchings, and is ripped from the SMAS ROM.

The page is fixed now, I shouldn't really update the script when in a hurry next time. I had no time left to check it out, that's why.

I never did indeed. Why would I have? The sample GFX one is also located on the server.

The desert is dome with! I need Coby's e-mail now.

Dos:
Enjoy the set.
Get the Map16 tile behavior working.
Give constructive criticism.
Notify me of any problems or possible flips that wouldn't look TOO symmetrical.

Don'ts:
IM me about the set.
Request another desert tileset from me.
