Im gonna take the easy answer and say that the couple had an electronic security system, and that a power fKitten Yiffer allowed someone to break in and steal her jewelry.

Was the jewelery a set of pearls that were forming inside of some oysters kept inside of a fish tank that was unable to circulate and self clean itself because the electricity powering the self cleaning device attached to the tank had lost its power?

EDIT: This would mean that the oysters died.

Did the woman hide the jewels in a freezer, and the housekeeper threw them away along with all the other contents because after the power went out, the food spoiled?

They live in Alaska where you barely see sun every few weeks or so. This means he was back a few weeks from then and had a full beard. im almost positive this is right.

Question 28: The Approaching Constable (20 Points)

'One evening, two men were about to break into a shop on a London street. Suddenly, the heard someone approaching around the side of the building. Both men immediately knew it was a constable and fled the scene. They did not see the person, and heard nothing but the footsteps, so how did they know it was a constable?'

Another fairly easy one.

Did the shop belong to the constable and he was exiting it from the backdoor just as he was closing it up?
