| I can't quite phrase this question correctly, but.... Does it have to do with employee rank? As in there are ten stories to the top, and the higher up you are in the company, the higher your office is. It'd be a sign that the company commands respect and reputation, that they have such a well-defined heirarchy, that all of its employees would work harder to get to a higher office... EDIT: Also, the Japanese take stock in respect, honor, and loyalty, do they not? The higher up you are in the company, the more of this you command. | I'll take a guess at this. The veil was used of that with women in another culture to hide their appereances and it stuck to her face when she got thrown into the water. So, if she was a strong swimmer and the two strangers were around that she couldn't remove the veil because it would expose her face to them. Which in that so called culture that the woman could not show her face in public even if there was just only two people around. |
