How about this: Was there ever a purpose to the post restrictions at all?

It couldn't have been to prevent spamming, since that doesn't happen too much around here to begin with (at least not for long anyway)...

The orginal purpose was to defeat the fact that people used the ACS thread for gaining alot of posts.

Now, my personal opinion on spreeing is. I don't mind it as long it isn't back and forth posting.

...I hate it when there is 20 replies made by the same two persons.

If there are still complaints about it, an extension may want to be considered. Other than that, it's all good.

It was to prevent some guy named "Banedon" from amassing a large post count, because the admins hate this guy.

Actually, I know it existed on the old board in its last months, but I don't remember what the triggering event was...

People was going on over about ACS having alot of "spam", which was actually ok posts... but whatever. Acmlm didin't want to shut down the ACS and... yeah.

The the board got into a period of time where there was some spam, and people blamed on the ACS and... it didn't decrease the spam with the closure of it, not at all. Considering that many of the people spamming wasn't even posting in the ACS thread!

People are horrible for posting something that adds nothing to the thread at all!

(Like I would have done if I posted that.)

Basically people hate spam because while some people can amass a great amount of posts with spam the good people such as anyone above 2000 posts right now probably don't spam.

It just makes no sense...
