| After seeing his two allies taken down so easily, the ghost tried to make a run for it, but soon ran into a short figure wearing a black cloak and holding a scythe in his hand. His hooded face was shadowed and both his feet and his hands were covered by the over-sized cloak. Cloaked Figure: Remember me? Ghost: *sweatdrop* Cloaked Figure: Well, I do. Ghost: ... ? But before the ghost was able to figure out what the figure meant by his comment, he double-handed his scythe and swung it through the monster. A white light emitted from the gash just before the ghost turned to dust. Teddylot: *removes the hood of his cloak* Goodness, it was hot in there. The teddy bear removed the black cloak and pocketed it, then he twirled his scythe around his arm as he did before to turn it back to its original staff form. Teddylot: Hmm, quite an abundant, yet skillful group we have. |

| Janus: "So violent... Nobody ever listens to me. Just shoot first and ask questions later, I guess...." Janus nonchalantly walks into the Chapel, leaving the Priest behind. "Old man, you hold down the fort out here, I don't think you're gonna be needed..." Priest: "Hmph! Disrespectful boy! Back in my day we took note of our elder's skills." Janus: "I am taking note of them. And they just don't seem like they're up to par with these guys'. Relax, you'll be fine out here, personally I wouldn't go in myself but seeing as how I've gotten myself into this, I suppose I have to see it through until I can get myself out." With that, Janus trudges after the group into the Chapel, paying little regard to the sheathing and unsheathing of the mysterious figure's sword. |

| Slipping into the Chapel, Janus sees the look on Haruko's face and is slightly hurt. It appears they do not like him. Nevertheless, he spots the robot and hurries over to it excitedly, overhearing the name "Gutsman" in the process. Janus: "Gutsman. It's a fitting name for such a large robot. You look very strong, as well. It's a shame, though. I'm willing to guess you were built for combat. I can tell you though, you'd make one heck of a miner if you're as strong as you look. I hope you'll stay around, it's good to have strong allies." Janus carefully steps toward Fem, in an attempt to ascertain an identity. "And you, I don't quite know who you are, and I'd very much like to so that I can be sure you're not gonna try to murder us like so much else around here. Fortunately, seeing as how Mr. Hero over there," Janus motions to Jack, and grins at him, "knows you, I'm guessing that's not the case. At that," Janus extends his hand in a gesture of acquaintance, "it is a pleasure to meet you." (thinking) 'You're kinda cute, too. Though I better not mess with you, you look like you could beat the crap out of me if I stare at you wrong. It figures, they're always the deadly ones.' |

| Kirbynite: Ok.. so the left path has been crossed out... I guess we go to the right? *holds out his sharpened sticks* Onward! ... *looks at the others* Um... Yeah... The path to the right was rather linear. There was some debris, but not enough to block the way. There were a few zombies, ghosts, and stone spitting slimes littered around, as well. At the end of the path was a flight of stairs that led underneath the very cave-like Minh Temple. Kirbynite: .. So.. um.. Why is Mr. Gun and Janus with us? I saw him rush into what I'm gonna guess was your high school, bleeding to his death. I patched him up, followed him to the chapel, and learned about these Gu-Goomba thingies. Considering the scores of undead you've all apparently found, I'm guessing you'll need all the help you can get around here. Of course, I'm not exactly an excellent fighter myself, but seeing as how the best weaponry you've all got is a large robot, a gun, and a pair of sharp sticks, I think I'll manage." Janus grins at Kirbynite and adopts a much more lighthearted tone to his voice. "What drives any of us? After all, I could say the same thing about you. I don't even know your name, and yet for some strange reason you're here waving around your weapons hoping to play hero and save the world from an attack by an enemy you've only heard about in your history books." |

He walked past a random skeleton, which attempted to grab at him -- and found itself in pieces after the figure grabbed the skeleton's wrist and effortlessly slammed it into the wall. |
