I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night
Alive as you and me
"But Joe you're ten years dead!"
"I never died" said he

Dear sweet Zombie Jesus!

I've been playing this game for about...Oh, a week or two now. And when I say playing it, I mean to say carressing it with my fingers and feeling every single damned curve of the game. And I can only say Wow.

This is probably one of the best RTSs I've played in years. It has far more depth than any Blizzard RTS (I don't see WC3 as a true RTS as I'm an asshole) and it is more fun than C&C games. Any sort of game that has almost 20 unique factions with their own units and strengths is good in my book (Cossaks was like this, but that game kinda womped). The best thing is that each faction really has something to offer the game, it isn't like alot of games where there are huge amounts of factions and each one is more or less a rehash of the other, but with a couple of weird little units. Nope, the Russians, for example have the Power of the Motherland. This basically means that you need to be well prepared to attack them. The Chinese have the ability to rapidly gain science ability and other neat little doowickity. It gives it a really unique style and feel.

The game has the ability to pause and still issue commands, which makes it mega-less-tedious. The controls are quite...Nice, mostly because their is the inclusion of formations, and hot keys to cover everything but scratching your ass. The units look beautiful and the game overall is very sharp in appearance. Mind you, the scope of the game can be a little daunting for an RTS.

In conclusion, I'd have to say that this game is a must for any RTS or TBS fan, but if you are more schooled in either or, you may want to start on easy mode, as the computer after Moderate becomes hell itself.

Oh, and think of this as Super-Civilization-Craft.
