Hello all, I have completed the second demo of SMW+6. This will be the last demo before the full version, so don't think I'm overdoing it . This demo ends on the last level of World 2. I have looked at the screenies on your site and downloaded it. The screenshots looks very good espcially the items for the flowers and mushrooms, but the levels looks still great. Very good work. (edited by Hidden Mario on 07-25-04 01:47 PM) |

Very nice levels, the design itself is really good; challenging but never unfairr. Especially the first castle has something; like in other levels, you are not only limited to walk from the left to the right, but also can go left after using a certain pipe. I was really surprised of level Przelius Plateau 3 - good usage of one of the predefined scrolling commands; as well the layout themselves. The GFX are nice, but sometimes the colors don't match; so using a pink background tile as grass, but a greenn ledge and a blue sky sometimes looks a little out of order; other like that - keep up the good work. I didn't have all the levels passed yet in the demo, but until now it looks very promising |

Oh, and GoYo... One more thing. In level two, there's a backdrop you use quite often. One of the ways you use it looks ugly, though... As you can see, the upper outline of the inner one is green, not black... And a little to the right of the inner one is a line which I can see no purpose of. Well, maybe it's supposed to give a shaded look but it still looks... Strange. Same level, around the end, you have a pipe on top of a log platforrm. It leads to the end. The pipe looks broken thanks to the holes in the log platform. It would be better if you used solid ground. I can get a screenshot if you want. |

Alright. Anyway, in the pretzel fortress... You should not go in doors and come out pipes. That's just... Also, the status bar problem. Is it so hard to just not use that area of the palette for your background? You don't need to use every single color in the background area palette for it to look good... |

Looks very nice. I played one of the others and it was quite good. I only have 1 main complaint, the mushroom. I have been using that in my hacks since I started, but since its a rip, its going to get used by others. Now, I hope you don't mind me linking to this pics: Looks good. The blocks are awesome. What is that bird doing sitting there tho? The background doesn't look theat great. Squarish. You need more curves in the land. Just 3 things that are odd: 1. Why is the land gray? 2. Why is there a #1 sign beside Yoshi's house? 3. On the right gray island the cliff wall looks weird. It needs to be taller. I like this one. Its mario 2. There are way to many mario 3 sets, which isn't bad, but mario 2 is used less. Maby the fish should be red? I like this one its cool. Very good. Second best one here. The bridge looks cool, and you don't see many sonic rips. I like this shot the most. The colors fit good together and the enemies go good with the set. Is that big rock wall the BG or just part of the FG? Only problem I see is the bomb. Hes got a black dot on his head and his eyes are white...odd. I like this BG, very cool. Is it a rip? The flurryies (I don't know if thats what there called) should have blue feet. Very good idea to change the turtles colors to fit with the FG palette. That snow is really thick. You should either make it translucent (if its FG 2) or make it in the BG. Its cool tho, I wish I could have rain in some of my levels but I can't get that animated tile thing to work... What is the green thing in the item box? FG doesn't go with the BG. Thats the only problem I see. Everything else is fine. Overall this looks cool, I will download it. |

I just played the demo, it was a good game, but it has some errors It is not very nice to put lava in an ice fortress. Itr is weird and don't fit w/ the level theme. And, there's a lot of slowdown in the levels w/ snow layer 2, in the one that you need the mega mole to pass over the munchers and enter a pipe near some clouds, the mega mole doesn't appear sometimes. Try reducing the sprites. |
