I put a warning in the thread title. Lots of images in here XD

I love the looks of it. I can't recognize the areas, which is a good thing.

Woah. This is probably the best Zelda 3 hack i've seen so far! I cant wait to see what the dungeons look like!

Are you planning on keeping the music/graphics the same, or modifying them?

The edited game is The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past (SNES) and the editor is Hyrule Magic.. In case you want to start your own hack, you can download the editor at: http://www.dragoneyestudios.net/index.php?page=utilities&id=6 and if you need help using it you can download the compiled FAQ I released a while back in another thread (just search the forums).. And yes, the overworld is all of my work... took a long time to made through..

Thanks!! About the graphics, there is already some new ones for the overworld, and of course will be new ones for the dungeons.. And as for changing the music, well seeing how no one manage to make good music in their Z3 Hacks, I doubt I will modify them.. (Don't count Euclid as a musician...). But, depending on the places you'll visit, the music will change to the environnement (**Of course ..**).

I just have one little complaint.

Look at the first image you posted, the one with the story in it. "Save all the princess" is NOT correct grammar. Everything else looks great, though. One screen looks vaguely similar to another area in the game, but I'm sure it's not anywhere near that spot... and heck, it may just be my fuzzy memory.

The first picture (story) is only for display purposes.. (subject to change..) And what is the correct grammar if I might ask ? Also, can you tell me which screens look the same, so I changes em' right now ?

The correct grammar is "Save all the princesses"

I like the way you did this.

I love it, altought some screens look familiar, but you can't actually mind that, looking at how much of the OW is changed. I love the new OW map.

The overworld revisions are awesome. Everything looks perfect, the slight GFX changes are very well done... Youve basically left me speechless... which is very hard to do

I'll try to change the familiar screens as much as I can, thanks for the commentaries!

I never though people would become speechless regarding all this! At first, I did all that for fun; now that all these commentaries are positive (most parts), it minds me to do more and continue the hard work.

While on the subject of grammar, "upon" is not spelled "uppon"

I totally love that map you made. my only beef is that it looks so much like the one i made years ago. but that's only coincidence, since my map was never ever shown.

very nice

... at least the overworld is not full of mistakes... anyway, I'll finish the light/dark worlds first, then will be the monologues, dungeons etc.. parts..

edit: I'm finally done with the Light World... I redone some parts so it isn't like the original game; here's the result (note: the top right corner will be changed..):

I have to complain about the waterfalls at the left-most portion of the screen. Especially the left-most lower waterfall... The perspecive in that area just looks way off. It's like one of those optical illusions. The other is the thin and tall upper left-most waterfall. It's just kind of coming out of the side of the strangest looking cliff face I have ever seen.

You also have things like trees and mountains 'merging' into each other to seperate sareas. Shouldn't the overworld be at least *mostly* uniform? Oddities like that are just... well, odd!

Look at the original map of Zelda3, Parasyte. It has the same "merging" thing. You can't notice it in-game because you can only be on one section of the map at once.

For the sections of the map that look bad, clearly Link doesn't simply walk between them like in a non-merged uniform area. Like, in Zelda3, you don't just walk up the mountains from the waterfall fairy's place.

Very nice. Some screens are noticable, but most arent. The overworld looks great. Is that all you have been working on?

BTW, its usually a good thing to not show everything at once, cause now I basically know where everything is. Great work though. Im amazed.
