I'm listening to Dancing Mad, the totally full song. It's 17 minutes of pure awesome Kefka fightyness. It's sooo awesome, because I was actually trying to find another song and stumbled across it. Just listening to it makes me *almost* want to play through Final Fantasy 6. Ahh... *Drools*

Hm... Near the end it seems to be some part I've heard before. I wonder where...?

Red Elvises - Venice, USA

The band is actually two political refugees from the old Soviet union. They came to the states in the 80s and found out about surfer rock. I guess from that point they just kind of met, and started a band. The guys have some of the coolest hair and shoes in the world. Mad jealousy.

Anyways, this track is totally kicking. You can hear the old jazz influences and swing influences. It's really fun to listen to, and you can easily just party to any of their songs. But this song is just the perfect up beat. I quite like it.

"Ocean looks like silver screen, you smile like fashion magazine,
Showing off your pretty skin, full of lotion and sunscreen,
Surfers look like Sharon Stone, blondes dressed up in silicone,
Talking bullshit on the phone..."

coolest sounding chorus ever. And the bassist plays a Romanian balalalaika. It is totally wicked.

Right now i am listenting to Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved

The songs my an my now ex-girlfriend's song. I guess i am just listening to it because i want to remember the good times we had. It kinda hits a nerve and gets me depressed, but at the same time it also makes feel like there is definetly someone else out there, and that i won't be alone and miserable forever.

Nightwish - "The Kinslayer" from the album "Wishmaster"

A nice and fast track, supported by fast drums and well-placed usage of e-guitars.
The text is broken up weird in its syllables, but I like the song.
That CD is an older one and some may call that group commercialized, but I like the music they make.

On the other hand I'm currently really addicted to the group "Machinae Supremacy", even their homepage offers a lot of *legal* downloads

Nine Inch Nails-Every Day is Exactly the Same

I'm currently listening to this off bestbuy.com... they're pretty much samples but for some reason it plays the whole song (samples are only 30 seconds long usually), but I like it. "The Hand That Feeds" is problably my favorite song off the new CD so far.

Theatre of Tragedy- Let You Down

Nice techno-metal song with female vocals, I think ToT are from Denmark, or a country from a similar setting. Its a short song with a simple structure but the synth beginning flows into a good techno beat and guitar bass. This is the only song Ive heard from ToT, Im definitely going to try find some more of their stuff.

Toshiro Masuda - Sarutobi

This is off the 3rd Naruto OST, which just came out today. This is easily my favorite track off the album. Many of the tracks, including this one, are not the actual tracks from the series, but are the same songs redone. In my opinion, this version is way better than the one heard in the series. If your'e a Naruto fan, this is a must listen.

Nine Inch Nails-Love is Not Enough (I think that's the name of the track)

Good, only it starts out slowly then picks up in the chorus. I've noticed a lot of the songs so far off the new album are like that, save for The Hand That Feeds, which is gritty and edgy from start 'till finish. Still, I'm loving the new CD so far, and can't wait to pick it up come Tuesday.

STEP you by Ayumi Hamasaki

OMG...this is one of the best songs she has made in a long time. I loved this song right from the start. The beat, the vocals, the lyrics. Everything about this song seems sooooo right together. The PV is fun to watch too as you get to see 4 sides of Ayu

Yes- "Siberian Khatru" (Live off of Yessongs)

I didn't find out until yesterday (lololol) that Yessongs is more than just one of about million "best of Yes" collections out there--it's a live album capturing the Fragile and Close to the Edge (you know, the two albums generally regarded as their best) tours. Siberian Khatru is the third (And last) track from Close to the Edge (As for what it's about, don't ask me; this is early Yes we're talking about, and the lyrics frequently make no sense whatsoever, but that's okay), and this live treatment is great. For one, most of the harmonies and such on the album version are performed live. For another, there's lots of little (And big; the mysterious middle section of the section has a more rock feel) modifications from the studio version here.

Rain - Trivium

I can't believe I found this cd at the store on base. They usually don't carry shit like this. Trivium kicks ass. I'm going to go see them this July at Ozzfest. A pretty weak line-up as far as Ozzfest is concerned but they're one of the few bands I'm actually excited about seeing.

The "In the court of the Crimson King" album, by the prog band King Crimson. Currently playing the song 21st Century Schizoid Man.

This is the first album released by K.C, and it definitely can be considered the founder of Prog Rock. Though it is still not their best work imo (i prefer the album Red, despite John Wetton's weaker vocals than Greg Lake's), it is still one of the best gems ever released in prog music.

Lydia - FIR

Interesting chinese song that is the ending theme of a chinese drama called "The Outsiders" I really don't understand anything about the song but it sounds interesting The voice of FIR has a wonderful voice along the same scale of Van Tomiko of DAI and Kaori Mochia of ELT. Anyways, they are a good group and I recommend them if you are looking for something new

MelinColleen - No Cigar.

It's a punk song. It was featured in THPS2. I like it. A paragraph is about 4 sentences long, but only three has information about the song in it. Oh well.

The members are Erik Ohlsson, Mathias Farm and Nikola Sarcevic

By far the worst two songs Green Day has ever released.

I'm listening to Sorrowfull Farewell by Rotting Christ.

I'm not a huge fan of black metal but I do like some of the stuff that these guys release. And for black metal, this song (and the rest of the album) is surprisingly catchy which depending on the level of your musical snobbery can be either good or bad.
But yes, this song/album is kick ass.

I'm listening to The Majesty of Rock by Spinal Tap

This is Spinal Tap was a mockumentary about a ficticious rock band made a long time ago and it's one of the funniest movies ever made. It became so popular that Spinal Tap actually became a real band.

Even as a joke band whose lyrics were usually silly, they surprisingly made some really good songs and this is one of them.

Speaking of silly lyrics, here's the first lines of "Sex Farm".

"Let's rock and roll
Working on a sex farm
Trying to raise some hard love
Getting out my pitch fork
And poking your hay"

Anyway, The Majesty of Rock is one of my favorite songs by them.
