South Park- The Anime Song (Let's Fighting Love)

I don't actually watch South Park; I stumbled onto this song when someone on The Shizz boards did a video where he kills the dragon in Level 6 of Ghosts N Goblins with the Lance and Shield. Then he did it ten more times but ran out of things to say, so he threw this song into the mix.

The song itself is a mix of Japanese and really bad English ("So let's fighting, let's fighting love"). Translated, the lyrics talk about male genitalia, and English being messed up. Also, protecting your balls is very important.

Hilarious stuff, though it becomes surreal when added to the video in question.

Let's fighting love is totally groovey core. Good times with weapons is easily one of the funniest episodes apart from Passion of the Jew.

NP: Toshiro Masuda - Harmonia

Despite being the name of a wood nymph that gave birth to Ares (Amazons) it is still a good song. Nice and light and sad sounding. Plus, if you've seen the Naruto ending, the totally cute Ino and Sakura figures just make you giggle when they sway about.

NP: Akebosi - Wind

Another Naruto ending. This one has a more traditional ending sound, featuring wood claps and bamboo flutes. I frankly like it.

Hulk Hogan and the wrestling boot band - Hulk rules

You ever seen a train wreck? You know you arn't suppose to look but you can't help it, this CD is like that. Its so horrible but so damn amusing.

Anyways... THE LYRICS!

When he steps into the ring he's ready for a fight
His twenty-four inch pythons are loaded up tonight
Everybody's talking trash, but he knows that talk is cheap
If you mess with the Hulkster he'll rearrange your teeth

Whoa...whoa...the Hulkster rules
Whoa...whoa...the Hulkster rules
Oh yeah!

If you ever get in trouble and you need a helping hand
Just call on the Hulkster and he will be your friend
He'll stand up for your freedom, he'll stand up for your rights
United you both will stand, together you will fight

Whoa...whoa...the Hulkster rules
Whoa...whoa...the Hulkster rules
Oh yeah!

It's different, he's also in this song called Oye Mi Canto with Nore and Nina Sky and Big Nato and some other people but me like..but that's another song and not this one. np: New Pornographers: "Letter From An Occupant"

This is the kind of song that makes you find the band's influences, because they have some seriously fucking good taste. Three minutes and forty-four seconds of pure indie-pop creamy goodness. They're a Vancouver-area (I think) supergroup... lead singer's alt-country artist Neko Case. Probably one of the best choruses I've heard... not really because of the lyrics or anything, but the vocals, guitar... it just WORKS.

Aaaaand speaking of influences, why "Setting Sun" by the Chemical Brothers was so good: the Beatles. "Tomorrow Never Knows". You WILL go get Revolver POSTHASTE.

Breaking Benjamin - "So Cold"

I have heard this song before, but didn't know what band it was. Then, when I was listening of snippets from the Halo 2 soundtrack, I listened to "Blow Me Away" by these guys, and thought it was friggin' awesome. They deliver nothing new to the table as far as hard rock goes, but they just have good songs. You owe it to yourself to check out both songs if you like the genre at all (or if you like Halo... )

Papa Roach-Getting Away With Murder

This is the new single from Papa Roach, for anyone who didn't know (like anyone wouldn't know that )... I already have a favorite song off the album and yet this is the only song I've heard. It's THAT good. Try it now, though you may or may not have already heard it already since it's somewhat played on the radio.

wanderin' destiny - globe

This JPop track is the title song of my favorite Japanese Dorama of all time, Aoi Tori. The song plays sort of my life. It has highs and lows. I sorta make out what it tries to say but my Japanese isn't that good yet...

np: Christiansen: "Kentucky Goddamn"

Break out the At the Drive-In comparisons, brothers and sisters! (See, I not only summed up the band's sound, BUT ALSO alluded to another release of theirs, the EP Forensics, Brothers and Sisters!. How you say... +1" e-penis?)

They seem to love them some tempo shifts, with the verses flipping constantly between fairly fast bass/manic vocals and, well, slow guitar/manic vocals. Singer does have sort of the same approach as Cedric Bixler, only his voice is a little, uhm, fuller? There's more behind it, at least. Same deal with their other instrumentation... a little like AtDI, but meatier. I think it's about that oh-so-awkward time known as YOUR late teens. Anyway, highly recommended. And a couple of reviews compared them to Ink & Dagger, so I'm'a download.

(In other news, Soulseek needs more The The. )

FOREVER YOURS "VooDoo & Serano remix" by Every Little Thing

This song is a tranquil, yet upbeat remix of FOREVER YOURS. When I listen to it, it feels like I'm floating or something like that. This singer has a great voice and when the music backs off, you get to hear the depth and the strength of her talent.

I have never really listened to the original version of this song...I should probably do it some day. But anyways, this is one of the best remixes of this group's songs

Breaking Benjamin-Blow Me Away

Well, I must say... first song I've heard on the Halo 2 OST, oddly enough... and yet, I freakin' LOVE it! Never really heard much from these guys though... just this and "So Cold" on the radio quite a few times, which I thought was an alright song... not enough to keep me tuned to the radio 24/7 just to hear it. Any other recommendations on the Halo 2 ST would be appreciated.

The Hiphopopotamus and the Rhymenocarus- Rap Battle

This is classic. Its New Zealand's 4th favourite country duo doing a rap battle using the oft-forgotten 'gangsta folk' genre, and its the funniest thing I have heard in ages. And they're not half-bad either. But so funny.

Here it is if you are interested. Hope the link works.

Massive Attack and Mos Def-I Against I

I must say, the first time I heard this song watching Blade II, I mistook it for a rap song... and mind you, it IS sort of a rap song... well, sort of. Though "Trip Hip" is more suiting, which combines elements of both hip hop and techno, which can sometimes be a rather good mix... I was inspired to hear this. I'm becoming more and more of a Massive Attack fan by the day.

I also recommend Crystal Method's "Weapons of Mass Distortion" from the Blade: Trinity OST... good, worthwhile listen. And it features Wes Borland on guitar.

Just a few here and there, I've got some time to kill:

OWARANAI YUME - Aikawa Nanase // I don't really know the words to this, in fact I'm only going off of rough translations I've picked up when I could easily find the words for it on net, but for some reason it's just been a theme for me as of late. I don't really know why. Even if I really don't know the words to it, but I guess all music isn't dependant on lyrics more than the feelings of the song conveyed to a person, language regardless. And 'Neverending Dream'? [shrugs] Works for me.

Symbolic - TaQ // I blame X for this one. He was going through Dossun! Ganseki Battle (I got him into it and now he can't stop, I = evul) and talked about how repetitive the music was in the game. I agreed; the music was repetetive, and short too...like a few seconds and then it would loop...but hey the game's addictive. Anyways, he started saying repetitive and I had this song going in Winamp. The beat differentiates throughout the song but it's repetitive itself...and I dunno why but I like this like crazy now. Course then it's TaQ...that's a given for me.

Xenogears - Shevat, The Wind is Calling // This is like a yearly thing for me ever since PSFs came out on the market it seems and after I played the game for the first time a few years ago on borrow from a friend of mine. Okay, I admit it...I was up to Lv. 65 with all my chracters and never beat the game, I stopped at the end of disc 1. Bite me. I'll have to finally beat it sometime. Anyways, the song itself isn't half bad, but the only times I ever seem to play it is right around this season, especially when the snow is on the ground and maybe snowing a little and the wind ISN'T blowing like crazy. I guess this would be 'symbolic' of snow for me.

Wow...interesting how just a few songs out of nowhere can generate that much mumbo-jumbo.

Scorpions - Alien Nation

This is my EXW theme music, and not a bad song. It sounds like 80-90s metal, but that's not a bad thing at all. If you remotely like the genre or any of Metallica's older stuff, you may want to give this a listen.

Zoast- "Dragon Warrior"

A straight-up acoustic cover of all the songs in the original Dragon Warrior from a fellow Shizzite. Not really a medley so much as all the tunes in the game in one MP3 (There are several abrupt stops and starts in there), but the acoustic works really well for some of these.

I like this one to death. Excellent boss music. I can't say much about this, because well.... it's extreme spoilers to the Game. I'M also listening to the rest of the OST by the way

The Rabbit Joint (NOT System of a Down!)- "The Legend of Zelda".

Rather silly little cover of the Legend of Zelda overworld theme. The Rabbit Joint added some lyrics which, as mentioned, are less than poetic. My favorite verse is probably:

Now Link
Fill up your hearts
So you can SHOOT!
Your sword with po-wer,
And when you're feeling all down,
The fairy will come around,
So you'll be brave,
And not a sissy coward.

Holy shit, I LOVE the Scorpions. I grew up on them.

I'm listening to Queensryche. "Eyes of a Stranger" to be exact.

If you haven't listened to Queensryche, I think it would be a good idea to listen to either Empire or Operation Mindcrime. Promised Land is good as well, but not as awesome as the other two.
