Amanda Perez feat. Krazie Bone - Dedicate

Purdy good song that me like. I heard it on the radio a few times. I wonder if it's on her CD. Damn, I don't even know the name of the CD but I've seen it at the store. It has a nice little beat, that's different from others that I've heard. They've been into this type of dance hall music on the radio..well not really. Just that song "Move ya body", Pittbulls song "chulo" (think that's what it's called) both sound the same. There's another song that's like dance hall but eh they're all decent songs. Krazie bone (Bone Thugz)..I hope that's his name is a good addition to it since I wondered where he went. Earlier he had that song with 3LW which I thought was cool..but then he dissappeared. Hasn't been into the music biz too much..or either the radio isn't giving him much airtime.

Slipknot - Surfacing - Slipknot

I had forgotten the song's name, but I looked up the lyrics....
Which are here:

FUCK YOU ALL!

Running out of ways to run
I can't see, I can't be
Over and over and under my skin
All this attention is DOING ME IN!

FUCK IT ALL! FUCK THIS WORLD!
FUCK EVERYTHING THAT YOU STAND FOR!
DON'T BELONG! DON'T EXIST!
DON'T GIVE A SHIT!
DON'T EVER JUDGE ME!

Picking through the parts exposed
Taking shape, taking shag
Over and over and under my skin
All this momentum is DOING ME IN!

FUCK IT ALL! FUCK THIS WORLD!
FUCK EVERYTHING THAT YOU STAND FOR!
DON'T BELONG! DON'T EXIST!
DON'T GIVE A SHIT!
DON'T EVER JUDGE ME!

AND DON'T YOU FUCKING JUDGE ME!

You got all my love, livin' in your own hate
Drippin' hole man, hard step, no fate
Show you nuthin', but I ain't holdin' back
Every damn word I say is a sneak attack
When I get my hands on you
Ain't a fucking thing you can do
Get this cuz you're never gonna get me
I am the very disease you pretend to be

I am the push that makes you move

Yea, love this song. Some say its violent, disturbing, sadistic... fuck them.

My Sweet Darlin' by Hitomi Yaida

Nice song...the pitch of her voice might annoy you though. however, the music sounds good, the beat anyways. the music video is also cool too. However, this isn't her best one either. I don't remember the track of the top of my head but i know i heard better one by her.

Discovered a bunch of good music lately, not bad times...anyway...

CKY - Close Yet Far

This seems considerably lighter than most other CKY songs, but it is still quite good. Considering I am looking at colleges right now, and feel like I'm almost getting ready for it, I can sorta relate to the lyrics...

----------
who said that I wasn't right?
I've lived for years without a life
don't have a soul on my side
still ridiculed despite how hard that I have tried
don't take me under your wing
I don't need a hand, don't need anything
and I've got a roof over my head
as if I'd rather be alone with me instead

close yet far
drop me a line and tell me how the hell you are
and I'll tip my hat to those who can't believe it's me
though I never never never ever wanted this to be

I can hear the sounds of the city
sunrise and set are the same to me
a hesitating pulse is good company
and my reflection offers no apology
but who said that I wasn't right?
and I've lived for years without a life
don't have a soul on my side
still ridiculed despite how hard that I have tried

close yet far
drop me a line and tell me how the hell you are
and I'll tip my hat to those who can't believe it's me
though I never never never ever wanted this to be

close yet far
drop me a line and tell me how the hell you are
and I'll think of days when there was something to believe
though I never never never ever wanted this to be
---------

Even if you don't like CKY, give it a shot.

So apparently, lyrics = paragraphs...? WTF?

Anyway...

"Mount Eerie" by the Microphones.

Title track from their latest (and last) release. The whole album is very strange, being a concept album about the solar system and the sun and such. Then you have this mountain that Phil (main dude) grew up by. "Mount Eerie" itself is actually a collection of songs from Phil and a few of his buddies put into one track. There's Phil, Mirah (also on K Records) and even the owner of K Records has his own song in here. It's a really weird song, but I like it.

Electric Wizard - Priestess Of Mars.

I'm growing really fond of Electric Wizard. All their songs are long, The shortest song I have by them is 8 minutes, but this track is a good 10 minutes about I dunno... A Priestess from Mars? I never really took the time to read the lyrics but the music is pretty relaxing, giving me that "Stoned" feeling. I like it. Enjoyable band. I listen to them the most when I'm writing.

KoRn - Track 11 - Take A Look In The Mirror

I can't remember the song titled. I got the CD from a friend. I used to have the original, but my father took it away after he freaked out listening KoRn's first Cd thinking I was going to go on a killing spree or something. This songs pretty mellow in a sense for KoRn, not a lot a cussing, the tempos, sow, the guitars arn't as low tuned.

Good call there, Cerv. But, on to the song I'm listening to at the current moment...

CKY - Escape from Hellview

Yup, another CKY song. This is a bit more of the traditional CKY flavor we have come to know and love, which isn't nesscessarily a bad thing. Throw in the fact that they are throwing it on the Resident Evil: Apocolypse soundtrack, and you've got yourself a song.

Piano = All other intruments.

The Red Chord - Dreaming in Dog Years.

I was in the mall about 2 years ago when I was talking to this Emo kid and he was talking about them. I never gived the band a chance because I figured they were emo and I'm not fond of that style of music. I got bored and desided to download them about last week and they aren't emo. Grindcore. Not a great band but they aren't bad either. I enjoy their lyrics but I can't make out the lyrics because of the vocals for the most part and I can usually always understand vocals regradless of the vocal style . Oh well.

Ciara - Goodies

I love this song! I think the lyrics are kinda funny

[Chorus: Ciara]
I bet you want the goodies.
Bet you thought about it.
Got you all hot and bothered.
Mayb' cuz I talk about it.
Lookin for the goodies
Keep on lookin' cuz they stay in the jar
Oh-oh Oh-oh Oh-oh Oh-oh

I would buy the CD but I don't really know anything about her. I just know I like the beat. Petey Pablo has a little part in the beginning and the end too I think. The only songs I liked from him was that "North Carolina" song. I think that's what it was called . The beat of this song is the best part that got me hooked to it .

Metallica - One

What's so special you might think..... The think special with this version of "One" is that it's a ".mid" file and it sounds like something we could put in a Gameboy (or Snes) game. NOW Beat that!

I love midis. I have roughly 500 Megabytes of them on my computer, and thats a lot of midis..

Anyways.

Nightwish - Dead Boys Poem (Midi).

I bought the CD (Wishmaster) just for this song and its good. Slightly depressing, music is good, and the lyrics are good. I found the Midi on their offical site and thought "What the hell?" and I downloaded it.

I actually prefer the midi because it has the retro 16-bit console sound to it.

Thank you, Pumpkin.

LYRICS DON'T COUNT.

np: LL Cool J/Timbaland: "Headsprung"

.... I had to see the video TWICE just to be convinced this was him. And this was after hearing the song all over the radio. It just doesn't sound like ANYTHING he'd do. And whyzzat? Lookit the other name credited. The beat sounds sort of vaguely like a Timbaland beat, and the voice kinda sounds like LL now that I think about it... Still, it's quite good, if not a touch repetitive.

Terrorsquad(sp?) - Lean Back

Good beat, haven't heard from them in awhile but it's played out. I was watching music vidoes last week and they played this one a lot. So I kinda got tired of it and I'd change the channel. Even though I don't remember much of the video since I was tired of it the 2nd time. Heh, I don't remember it being on TRL..I only watched that crap once..with all their damn commercials.

EDIT, I didn't think that was LL either until I heard the video and heard LL's voice. When I first heard the song I had no idea it was him. It doesn't sound like the kinda thing he'd do but I like the song still

ah, back when i went through my Metallica days MoP was probably one of my favorites. it's still a great album.

right now i've selected one of my favorites from Radiohead:
Motion Picture Soundtrack
. a rather melodic, down-trodden song (as are many songs in the true radiohead fasion). Tom Yorke's beautiful, eery voice inspiring the sirenical doubt and self-abasement that lurks within. it's amazing

Red wine and sleeping pills
Help me get back to your arms
Cheap sex and sad films
Help me get back where I belong

sample of the lyrics from the opening verse. great stuff.

I'm listening to Sheep by Pink Floyd (the best band to have ever existed.)

Excellent song with great lyrics. (Some of which are in my layout as you read this.)
It hails from the album "Animals" which is some of their best work and this song is my personal favorite track off the entire thing.
The whole song is great in itself but what I especially like is the outro. I can still remember hearing this song for the first time and all I could say was "....wow." To this day, I think this is the only song that has given me goosebumps. It's that good.

(Hell, the whole damn album kicks ass.)

oh wow, excellent! Sheep is definetly one of my favorite Floyd songs, i'm definetly an avid fan. i beleive i have every released song they have we.. released coincidentally, i was listening to Marooned by Pink Floyd right before the radiohead song i posted above.

along the lines of Sheep, other long-running great Floyd songs are Dogs (same album, obviously, as Sheep) and Echoes. Echoes, with a runtime of 23 minutes is still breathtaking every time i listen to it. Its almost more than a song, it's an experience.

Leejnkov: you should definetly pick up Roger Waters and David Gilmour's respective solo career albums. It's very interesting so see Waters lyrical skill combined with his own exclusive productions, and Gilmour's fantastic guitar work in a different context. They are good references for Floyd fans, but also stand up well enough on their own as separate albums. I wrote a small comparison and mentioned Roger Waters in the overrated/underrated thread

Oh I have them. Radio Kaos has always been one of my favorites.

Marooned is an awesome song too. The title of the song fits the actual music perfectly. I get a certain feeling everytime I listen to that song. It just makes me really nostalgic. The Division Bell was pretty much the end of Pink Floyd and even though that album was far from their original days, and despite them missing Waters, it remains a timeless classic.

Small sidestory. Last year when I was deployed to Saudi Arabia, I remember listening to Marooned early one morning with my walkman while just looking in to the vast desert. It fit perfectly and was a surreal feeling.

"Its almost more than a song, it's an experience."

Like I always say, you don't listen to Pink Floyd. You experience it.
