KoRn - The One - Take A Look In The Mirror

This is a hidden track on the album. Its starts at 9 minutes and 50 seconds after the last track on the album (13). It was originally written by Metallica, but in my opinion KoRn's version is much better. The sad thing is that when I had the album, I didn't know it was on there. It wasn't until a friend showed me it that I learned there was a hidden track. Its pretty cool...

I'm listening to Metallica- Some kind of Monster. Just bought the CD so it's understandable. Really good stuff in here. The CD himself his good because of live versions of Ride the Lightning, some Kill 'em all songs.

"The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past: This Dark World" by...um, me.

Hey, I never said I wasn't vain.

Anyway, this is the song that would've been my Dwelling of Duels entry for July had I not ended up in the hospital for 10 days. As the name indicates, it's a rendition of the Dark World theme, with a bit of a twist--all the tracks are done on bass guitar. Suffice to say that it was quite a challenge to keep the whole thing from turning into low-level mush (As anyone who has ever tried to fit multiple bass tracks in a song will tell you). Truth be told, I'm not entirely happy with the production, but the mere fact I got it done was a victory in and of itself.

You can find it with the rest of my stuff at the link in my sig.

KoRn - Ya'll Wanna Single - Take A Look In The Mirror

This one of the more kick ass songs out there. I think they say the word fuck 136 times in 3 minutes and 17 seconds. I'm to lazy to count so here are the Lyrics

I didn't look at the lyrics, I just sat around, listened to it, and counted. I got upwards of a hundred. Anyway, slipknot:vermilion.

My girlfriend likes this song, and it's got a cool sound to it. It kind of catches you off guard, because at first it's all creepy, then it's like all harmonies, and powerful, and stuff. Kind of like Wait and Bleed, except chorus becomes bridge, and verse becomes chorus. All in all, a good song, with a lot of depth.

Metallica - Ride The Lighting [Live] - Some Kind of Monster
Ride The Lightning played live in Paris, France. It's good to hear some old songs. It's one of my fave songs, along with the CD, Ride The Lightning. What is strange about Metallica is when you listen to any song on Kill 'em All or Ride the Lightning and then listen to the same song but a newer version. You may think it's a different band that are playing the song.

K1 - Tu (Again..over..and...over..and over..)

Like I said before, it's one of my fave songs on the whole CD. My obsession doesn't end there. I'm gonna buy the CD again when it comes out Aug 31st with a DVD and maybe extra tracks XDD. I love them..At Tower it's around 16 bucks but I could prolly find it at a better places somewhere..if not that'll be where I get it. Even though it sucks..damn Tower. Maybe they'll have it at Best Buy .

"Battletoads" -Temp Sound Solutions

Temp Sound Solutions, specifically a guy named ShawnPhase, are one of the Dwelling of Duels people. He's got a series of CDs out titled Now You're Playing With Powar 1-4...this rendition is off of the first CD. Basically, it's the Battletoads title screen and some other tunes from the game rocked out beyond belief. Good stuff.

Dunno if I posted this one, but...

... ... np: Nina Sky: "Move Ya Body"

SHUTUP. At work, sometimes I end up at the other campus (AKA Junior High Junction... you wouldn't believe the DRAMA) the only company is a radio, and there's only one station I'll even accept (for the rest is CRAAAAP) and this is pretty much the only song that managed to worm its way into my head in a good way. Two twin sisters singing over a dancehall riddim besed mostly in bongos and claps. Nice harmonies, but let's be honest, it's the riddim that makes you care. And gets asses up.

Metallica - Kill 'em All - Mothorbreath.

Yet another Metallica song, I should change sometimes, no? Anyway, I find it very good; both Live and Non-Live version were pretty good. Hurray for my 4 hours long Metallica playlist.

Carolina Marquez - Mas Musica

Ooo.. me like.. semi-repetitive dance . I think she's singing in italian.. and I really only understand the Musica part XD. It's catchy though, so I like.. I first heard it in Gemini Projekt 183 and went on a horrible journey into the world of WinMX to find it.

Dope - You Spin Me Right Round

A heavy metal cover of the Boy George song, and not bad. It seems very well translated, and definitely worth a listen if you like the genre, or even the original song.

I thought that was by Dead or Alive. Originally, that is.

Anyway, I'm listening to Parachutes by Coldplay. There's only one thing wrong with this song and that is the fact that it's only 0:46 long.
Coldplay is one of the most amazing bands to come out in the last decade. Just looking at the music alone, I'm impressed. But most impressive to me, are the lyrics themselves.

There's a lot of music out there where I just try to tune out the lyrics because they're boring and have no feeling to them. But Coldplay has some great lyrics that are filled with a certain emotional feel to them. You can tell that they were written from the heart, and not just slopped together to make an album. Thought and feeling went into them, and that's how all songs should be.
Listening to Coldplay is always an enjoyable experience for me.

Now I'm listening to a cover of Wicked Games by HIM. It's extremely rare that I like a cover song. Most of the time, I hate them. But this one is exceedingly excellent. Ville Valo's voice rivals that of Chris Isaak's.

HIM hails from Finland but they have a huge cult following over here in the states. Some would label them as "love metal" because they sing love songs in a metal way.

You know Bam Margera right? Well I think he's really influenced by them. His whole "pentagram-heart" symbol isn't actually his. It's HIM's. That, and a lot of music in his show is HIM and I think there was some in Jackass as well.

Not only Bam, but Cky themselves. If you like them, you should enjoy HIM because that's who they got their whole sound from. Although I think that Cky perfected it.

System of a Down- "Innervision"

System of a Down are one of my favorite bands of the last 10 years or so. They just have something that sets them apart from the rest of the nu-metal pack. This particular song, like most SoaD songs, is a little hard to make sense of lyrically, but it seems to be about getting out of the humdrum of everyday life and seeking that certain something missing in your life.

Celestial Voices, by Pink Floyd from the live in pompeii show.

It is a great song, it has a very touching and well done instrumental with organ and slide guitar mainly, it is almost divine stuff, this song is very beautiful. Then we have David Gilmour at the ending making a great vocal work, the song doesn't have lyrics, Dave mainly says 'aaaaaaaaaaaaaah, aahhhhhhhhh, aaaaaaaaaaaaaah' in a very touching way.

Legion, you can find this rare audio version from this floydian work at kazaa, that might be a cool song for you and the other floyd fans, and for ppl that may want to get into the Floyd.

Now I'll listen to Echoes, from Pink Floyd, from a live bbc recording

I've heard it.

Also have the vhs of Live in Pompeii. One of These Days is great because it focuses on Nick Mason.

As for me, I'm listening to Endless Sacrifice by Dream Theater. Such a fucking awesome song. Some say that Dream Theater ran out of steam with this album (Train of Thought) but I say they're crazy. They still have it. This whole album is actually one of their bests.

Frank Klepacki - Act on instinct

It's from Command and Conquer, game music yeah but it's a good one. It sorts of reflects the mood that I had earlier this year.

I like this music becuse it reflects what the first Command and Conquer had alot about, the media. It's a serious song who goes "hopeful" sometimes. Quite silly but it's one of my favorites.

Sadly the first C&C is one of the more less known one...

The actual name of the song is "One"... And it's totally MISSING THE MINUTE-LONG FRANTIC TAPPING SOLO WHAT THE FUCK

KoRn's guitarists really need to pick up the pace. Using distortion to hide your shitty playing is totally not rad.

Right now I'm listening to Iggy Koopa's little Zelda tune ("lahouse.mp3"). It's very easy on the ears, stays true to one key almost the whole time (I think it's a major key, maybe Ionian mode or something). It's very nice and very relaxing music (doubly so because I just got back from a concert). I usually like a little more tension in my music (Without Beethoven there would be no heavy metal), but right now this just hits the spot.

Geez, I have to try that DTheater's song

I downloaded a Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun video clip, and the funny is that Dave is really static and they are focusing more in Rick Wright. And Roger almost does not appear

Lacuna Coil - Swamped

This is actually the first song I have heard from Lacuna Coil, and I must say that it's quite good. I can't really come up with any real good adjectives to decribe it, so I'll go with "Gothy Metal Tribal Dirge". Hope that helps.
