I'm listening to "Turn Me On" by Kevin Lyttle. I like how high-pitched his voice is while he's singing. I first heard this song while I was playing Tropico, and let's just say that I forgot all about the game.

Metallica- "Frantic"

Don't ask me why I decided to up and listen to St. Anger today. I think part of it is not being so ashamed at not hating the damn thing! There's certainly a nu-metal influence that runs through the whole CD, but that's okay with me.

As far as this song goes, it seems to be about lamenting wasted time. The song--and probably the album--was probably meant to be more cathartic than anything.

Brandy feat. T.I - Where you wanna be

Could song produced by the one and only Kanye West! Loving the beat, the piano in dee background is purdy . I wonder what song she's going to come out with next. Current single is Talk about our love feat. Kanye West in which mi like also. It's kind a slow jam..but a good one.

I'll get it right this time...

KoRn - Right Now - Take a look in the Mirror

My friend was over last night for the night, I've been meaning to get some Cd's from him like "KoRn - Take a look in the mirror", and "Disturbed - Believe". I used to have KoRn until my father listened to it and took it all away... So I'm slowly getting them back *evil laugh *. I can play the guitar rifts on this song, which is so fun to do... think I'll do it after I get offline..

"Say Hello to the Angels" by Interpol.

I think it's one of the not-better songs on Turn on the Bright Lights, but it's still really good. It sounds a bit lot like the Strokes, though. All Ian Curtis/Joy Divison comparisons to Interpol can be stomped flat with this song. It's not depressing at all, like JD is. It's a pretty upbeat song. Banks still sounds like Curtis, though. He always has.

Usher - That's what it's made for

Good song that me like. I sometimes wonder about it but eh nothing bothers me. It has a nice beat it's kind of another slow jam..which is CD is full of but it has a beat that can keep you listening to. It's off his new CD Confessions which does kinda resemble his last CD [i[8701 but I think I like it better.

"Purify" by Metallica.

One of the better St. Anger tunes, even if James seems a little confused in the first verse (He apparently can't decide whether he wants to strip the layers off or cover up the past). In spite of this, a solid, hard rocking tune, the best part of which would be the chorus (Pure if I, can't you help me, Pure if I, won't you help me?).

Bloomfield Ave. by Catch 22

I'm going to go and see them on the 29th, looking forward to that. I saw them this summer on the Coast to Coast Roast, and they rocked live.

And a minor coincidence, I just finished reading Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.

"Grass Canons" by the Olivia Tremor Control.

Take your sixties pop (Beach Boys/Beatles). Throw even more drugs into the mix, and odd-and-end sounds. You get the Olivia Tremor Control, except they came 30 years later. "Grass Canons" is one of the lesser poppy tracks on the album, but is still very accesible compared to some other things on the album Black Foliage (like "The Bark and Below It"). Lots of xylophone is used here.

Iced Earth - Dead Babies (Alice Cooper Cover).

I'm not the biggest fan of Iced Earth. Half of their stuff is either really good or pretty much crap. Anyhow, for my birthday I asked for a bunch of CDs. On the list were "Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes" and "Alice Cooper - Killer" as well as a lot of other CD's (37 to be exact). But the only one from Iced Earth my mother could find is 'Tribute To The Gods' so she got it. There cover of 'Dead Babies' (Which is on the CD 'Killer' is pretty good. I prefer the Alice Cooper verison because its Alice Cooper and since the CD is older, its not as clear and sounds a little darker but otherwise Iced Earth did a cover that did the song some justice.

Over all though, the CD (Tribute To The Gods) isn't too bad if you like covers. They cover hit songs from Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Kiss, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath, and Cooper. Some good ol' classic that are hard to top but Iced Earth gived it a shot and all of them are pretty good. I personally prefer the Iron Maiden's and Blue Oyster Cult covers (I love the orginals and they do them justice).

K1 - Tu

Yup, these sexy guys again. This is prolly my fave song on the whole CD. It has a nice mellow beat that's still spanishy. It helps you relax. I just figured out what the songs about too! I'm so happy XD. It's just saying what he has to do to give his heart to his girl or something. Some words I still don't understand but I'll look those up . They should come out with a new CD because I listen to this one a LOT but it hasn't got old just yet. I like their voices and stuff, especially in this song

Bite it you scum - GG Allin

There is just something about the rabid violence and absolute depravity of this man that makes his music so interesting. GG, for those you who don't know, died back in 93. He was on Jerry Springer, has a criminal record of over 50 offences, and spent a cumulative amount of time equal to 5 years in prison for various offenses like sexual assault, assault and battery, indecent exposure etc.

This particular song is just about being pissed off, and I listen to and sing it all the time, it is one of those bad ass crust punk anthems that makes you want to go outside and just punch some big guy in the adam's apple.

Slipknot - Danger- Keep Away - Subliminal Versus

Its a really slow song, but amazingly good. I was surprised when I first heard this song. Slipknot usually is screaming their heads off with anger filled songs. But this song is slow paced with a amped pianp in the background and the nine members are singing in unisin. Matter or fact Slipknot has a total of four slow song that are pretty damn good on Subliminal Versus. Two are accustic which was a big shock since this band is pretty much heavy metal. But the acustic is done well, and they can all sing very well when they're not screaming. Don't get me wrong, I still like their heavy shit, its just they have a whole nother side that is really slow, and really great sounding.

Eddie Van Halen - Acoustic Guitar Solo

Its just some guitar solo I got off of Soulseek and what can I say... Hes a guitar god, the solo is 55 seconds of beautiful guitaring. I honestly didn't know an acoustic guitar can make such a sound. I love Van Halen.

Dust For Life - Poison.

I notimated them for Max's battle of the bands thingy and I was the only one who voted for them but oh well. Not their best song but still pretty good. Its rock, I don't really know what else to class it as. Its pretty much about getting hurt by a girl. Meh.

Best Metal Man Fan- "St. Metal Man (NuMetallica Man)".

I talk occasionally about the Dwelling of Duels I enter, which is a video game cover song contest. One month, the theme was Mega Man, and someone calling themselves "Best Metal Man Fan" entered this parody of St. Anger-style Metallica to the tune of Metal Man's theme from Mega Man 2. It's one of the greatest things I've ever heard, particularly because the vocals and snare drum sound are almost dead on.

Some sample lyrics:

Man of metal, not of brass
Rules them all and kicks some ass
If you don't give him what he needs,
ON YOUR NEURONS HE WILL FEED!!

You can't crack at Wily
Until you take a shot at me
Viruses and robot sin
Make me wanna die again

Please, don't you hurt, Mega Man?
Why does it hurt?
All this apathy.

Double bass-ah!!

Kanye West featuring CLC and Consequence - Spaceship

Haven't listened to this song in awhile. It's actually kinda long but good . One of my favorite songs off of his album College Dropout. I do like most of the songs. I think I just like the whole CD . I just happen to skip over a few tracks to get to the ones I reaaally want to listen to. It has a nice beat and everything. Kanye West is muy talented in the beat making category even though he just uses samples and throws a bunch together. They still come out off the hook though .

Nobuo Uematsu - The Dark Cloud (From Final Fantasy 3 - Eternal Wind)

This album is actually very very nice, it's like mixes of some nice tunes from FF3, often with several songs into one. I really love 6min+ ones xP. If you usually like FF music, get it.
