Transplants - California Babylon

Kinda tougher to describe this one. All I can say is...catchy in a slightly off beat style.

Rage Against the Machine - Vietnow (live)

RATM = Awesome.
RATM + Being Live = Really awesome.

Catchy, in your face action, and par for the course lyrics from Rage. It's just a good song no matter how you look at it.

Jet - Cold Hard Bitch

Jet is possibly the greatest thing in music to have ever come out of Australia (well, not counting Kylie's buttocks, of course ). Cold Hard Bitch is a nice song, very powerful, very energetic.

Good LORD does Jet suck, now that I think about it. Mostly because that song's teh overplayed. I'm hoping Franz Ferdinand doesn't meet the same fate, but "Take Me Out" smacks "Cold Hard Bitch" around with a large trout thrice daily.

np: XTC: "Mayor of Simpleton"

BOW DOWN to them. Or please be upstanding, as the case may be. Never really had commercial success (this was their biggest hit in the US, peaking at, like, #74) but critics loved them. Why didn't they catch on? I'm thinking they were way too smart for their own good. It's perfect guitar-pop, and the lyrics are full of in-jokes (the backing vocals even reinforce the fact that this guy's not all that bright, as well as the singer saying "Well, I don't know how to write a big hit song"). Listen and love them.

powderfinger - love your way

actually i recently went to a powderfinger show last friday, it was a free show in vancouver and it was AWESOME! these guys are really good live, and i was lucky to be right at the front moshing, it was great fun. these guys have become my favorite austrailian band

i like how they aren't too worried about being the king of their instruments (like in the 80's) and they just want to put out some great music. they do that and it sounds wonderful.

np: A Wilhelm Scream: "Famous Friends and Fashion Drunks"

Very Hot Water Music, actually. Someone called them Rufio with screaming, but I don't buy that one, really. Doesn't quite stumble over itself, but it's fast enough for that. Seriously, they're HWM-inspired, and that's Good Enough For Me.

Jet has been ruined for me in two aspects
-Cold hard bitch has been played 430943 times on the radio here
-iPod commercials
>(

I'm listening to Chop Suey by System of a Down. I don't know why. I used to like this song, got sick of it, and never got back into it.. is SoaD coming out with a new CD? It seems like they get worse with every album they poll out. Like, more "pop"ish or something. I can't really put my finger on it.

1. OMC - How Bizarre (3:45)
YD and Leg brought up this song, and I remembered it. This song makes me wish I was 15 in the 90s.

2. Chingon - Malaguena Salerosa (4:05)
MonopolyMan told me about this song in IRC. Nice Spanish type of music, I like QT's varied tastes

3. Bernard Herrmann - ''Twisted Nerve'' (1:27)
I like whistling along to this.

4. Al Hirt - Green Hornet (2:18)
Nice 70's/80s type of music

5. Kula Shaker - Hey Dude (4:10)
Another 90s song, I reccommend this because its funkay

6. Muse - Bliss (4:14)
Whats more to say about these guys other than they know how to rock.

7. Labh Janjua & Janjabi MC - Mundian To Bach Ke (3:59)
The theme to last summer, Indian music where you have no idea what they are talking about. Great music nonetheless.

8. Dizzee Rascal - Fix Up, Look Sharp (3:44)
I don't think many people will like this guy. I dont like his other stuff, but I like the beat in this song.

9. OK Go - Get Over It (3:16)
Another kickass 90s song, probably better for parties, but still is nice.

10. System Of A Down - Chop Suey (3:31)
Inserted after looking at YD's post. I cant remember why I liked these guys, but I guess they were alright at the time.

11. Tomoyasu Hotei - ''Battle Without Honor Or Humanity'' (2:28)
KillBill theme.

12. Ian Brown - Fear (3:36)
Lyrics are limited to F. E. A. R. nice to listen to.

"Lay Down" by Zoo Inc. I was just browsing through Winamp's Internet Radio and searched for Eurodance stations. This song's pretty good.

Dope - Now Or Never

Some songs smell kinda like rock. This song cuts it's wrists and shoots it across the walls Kill Bill style.

I don't care who you are, or what you are doing right now. If you can read this, listen to this song NOW!

NOFX - Don't Call Me White

One of my favorite NOFX songs. It's the type of song that gets stuck in my head, but the good thing is, it's not a bad or annoying song that gets stuck in your head.

One of my favorite songs off deez coo album . Great beat, the lyrics are kinda funny. Everything just kinda flows with the beat which makes it a good song.

NO!! NO!!

It's NOFX, not NoFX. But anyways, nice choice. I saw a video of that live in Germany, and it was spectacular.

Im listening to The New Workout Plan by Kanye West...

Heres the best part......

" and 2 and 3 and 4 and get them sit ups right and
Tuck your tummy tight and
do your crunches like this
Give head, stop breathe,
get up, check your weave
Don't drop the blunt and disrespect the weed
Pick up your son and don't disrespect your seed
It's a party tonight and
ooh she's so excited
Tell me who's invited:
you, your friends and my dick
What's scary to me
Henny make girls look like Halle Berry to me
So excuse me miss, I forgot your name
Thank you, God bless you, good night"

Ramones - Sheena is a Punk Rocker

Now, the rest of the playlist is just Ramones. Starting with the great Sheena is a Punk Rocker, followed up by I Wanna be Sedated. If I'm in a bad mood, the music of the Ramones, always seems to cheer me up

Brandy feat. Kanye West - Talk About Our Love

I love deeze song too Well it's not on the Kanye West CD but I need to get the Brandy CD when it comes out and if I have money at that time. Eventually I'll get it. I saw the video awhile ago too at my uncles. It's a good song with a good beat. Mostly about..well what the title says! it kinda cheers me up..the beat is just..upbeat.

Well, they've only released two real albums. 'Steal This Album' is a collection of songs that didn't make it to 'Toxicity'
But I think their first album, 'System of a Down', is much better then 'Toxicity'.

Beastie Boys - Oh Word?
Really enjoying the new album.
