Like to add fireballs or Koopas, or bullet bills or something, or to change the number of times you must hit the boss.

Mainly thinking of the Koopa Kids here.

Changing the number of hits to kill a boss requires some Hex editing, but you can add enemies.

1) Open the boss level
2) Go to level menu and to Change Properties in Header
3) Take note of the first number in the drop down box at the top. Remember it.
4) Now, change the first number to 00.
5) The appearance of the level will change, now you can add an enemy, I would suggest a generator of some sort. You can add a fireball if the boss already has lava.
6) After you inserted the desired enemies, change the number back to the original.

Two exceptions to this are Lemmy and Wendy, where you can simply add enemies to the boss level.

Would you happen to know what to edit in hex to change the number of hits?

I was on this board yesterday and a post had mention of a program that allowed the hacker to change the number of starting lives to 3 instead of 5. I didn't want to make a new topic about this considering this one sort of had to do with this.

Ummmm... I did that using a hex editor. The offset you change is...

Hold on. I got to remember it. I will edit this post after I find the offset.

Anyway, what was the offset for Morton's HP? I saw it somewhere, but I forgot.

I really need it, as the final battle in my upcoming hack is against a modified Big Boo Boss (King Boo).

You want to make the final boss in your game a Big Boo like DW:TLC?
Personally, I think B.B. is an easy boss, even if he had more HP. But, if someone could figure out a way to make him spit fire or something, then it would be harder and alot more interesting... But thats kinda far-fetched, since no-one really knows how to edit sprites that well. Someone could make an enemy into a powerful enemy, like an 8th Koopa Kid or a sub-boss or something if they had the knowledge...

Alright, got another problem with my boss.
I put Bullet Bills in Morton's level, and they work fine, but when Mario goes into the level he spawns to the left of the left wall, where I can't hit Morton.
Why does he spawn there? His entry point on Morton's map is not there.
It's further into the middle of the arena.

Did you change mario's position when you placed in bullet bills?
i doubt you did, but its an option

Nope. I didn't move him then. I've moved him since then to try to correct the issue, but no cigar. I may have to load a Morton level from the original SMW and change it again.
