Well, here goes nothing.

for starters, this is a hack of Zelda 3 (duh!) with 10% of the areas rearranged.

You'll still notice some which looks familiar, that's because:
1. it looked good already
2. i'm too lazy
3. back when i done these, i wasn't too skilled with HM (this is probably the better explaination )

Text hasn't been edited.

over wold hasn't been done very much, but i've done around the lumber turtles house

And finally, please don't open it in HM! I wish others won't taking credit for upcoming custom tiles.

Im not giving out the demo patch just yet, 'cause its so buggy at the moment (when you get to the dungeon where zelda is held you start bouncing around like crazy!) that it will crash snes9x and zsnes ( it took about 5 seconds for both to crash in zeldas dungeon )

P.S.: Pictures coming soon!

Sounds cool, but did u redo the overworld or not? Cause it sounds like you did a bunch of dungeons, and thats it.

Trust me, dungeons arent easy to come up with, so if ur done ur dungeons, u should really spend the extra time and come up with a story and an overworld.

Either way, im looking forward to it.

My forum announcement says that when you announce hacks, I require screenshots. People get more interested that way

Show me the money or I show you a locked thread

Well, sounds promising, I want to see how far this project gets.

Anyway, how in the hell can you know you edited the dungeons for 1%. That's like, uhm.. five or six walls replaced or something. I really hate fake percents.

Wow, ur nowhere near complete. If you actually intend on doing something good with this hack, its gonna take a lot of work. If you need help, id be glad to help you out, show u some tricks, and whatever else, but i am working on my own hack right now.

My suggestion to you is to start slow. Put this hack on hold for a few weeks, and work solely on a small demo. Just like 5 or so overworld screens, 1 or two dungeons, some text, some GFX... ect. Learn to use the program and become comfortable with it. Then when you go back to this hack, the work will not be terrible at the beginning. Thats what I did, and man, it helps a ton! My demo hack was just basically a lightworld hack. You can definitly see major hack improvment as the hack progresses, and my skills got better. Because of that hack, my upcomming hack is gonna be awesome. Also, I cannot stress this enough!!! ALWAYS KEEP BACKUPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure u keep a backup for every couple hours of work, or you are gonna be very pissed off later. HM isnt the most stable program, so u got to learn what it will allow you to do.

Ill be interested to see how far you get with this.

BTW, you can find an excelent examples of a hacks from me and Euclid in this forum.

True, you really should improve your overworld first, as the world map is optional.. If ya wanna make changes, do the overworld first as the dungeon editor can be an arse sometimes. (You can copy overworlds from on rom to another while it's impossible for dungeons)... While editing, save often and always make backup copies. Editing overworld has to be the easiest thing of the editor IMO... still learning how to do the dungeons. If you want a rather big help on everything HM, I suggest you go download the compiled FAQ I put up in another thread.. as with it you'll be able to do better things then just "World Map Editing"...

Menu Screen Editing:
This editor allows you to change the menus screens of the game. With the move button you can click and drag to move stretches of tiles. Pressing "M" changes between horizontal and vertical. Pressing "," decreases while "." increases the length. Pressing "-" changes between normal and fill. It is recommended that you don't change the size of anything these characters in the last 5 screens as this might cause the game to crash. With the draw button, the selected tile can be painted on a stretch. By pressing the right mouse button, a new stretch can be placed.

EDIT: For your pictures you should host them to somewhere else as all I see are red cross. (Go register a free account at http://photobucket.com/ for instance)

I notice that there's no plot or storyline? When you hava a chance, could you mention what's behind the Legend of the Two Isles and what are they about? That would make it more interesting.

Hmm yeah, a storyline or a note telling us what the basic plot to this hack is would be nice. Or at least some of the dungeon themes
