Rounding answers to the nearest integers here.

Surface area = 4 pi r^2 = 10000pi or about 31416 square units

Volume = 4/3 pi r^3 = 4/3pi*125000 = 166667pi or about 523600 cubic units

178.53 degrees.

180(n-2)/n where n is the number of sides.

Edited to add: I found a number that beats even the e^e^e^79 (10^10^10^34) that Skewes fans boast about. It's the Graham number, and was what I was thinking of when I was babbling about arrow notation:

The two solutions are (-20 + sqrt(190)) and (-20 - sqrt(190)), or in decimal:

-6.216 and -33.784

I just noticed that I read the problem wrong and forgot to include the 10 on the left side, factoring the wrong equation!

So my answer is going to be:

x^2 + 40x - 200 = 0

x = -40 +/- sqrt(1600 +800) / 2

= -40 +/- sqrt(2400) / 2

= -20 +/- 10sqrt(6)

4.495 and -44.494

Those are close to Kriby's answers but I think mine are correct.

Edit: Nick, I think you have to pull a 2 out of the "sqrt(2400)" term before you can reduce the 40 in the numerator and the 2 in the denominator.

BTW, does this symbol show up correctly for you guys? sqrt(2400): √2400

Oh yeah.... Oops.

And the symbol shows, but it's kind of odd, since there's nothing above the numbers.

Nick, that's good to hear; I didn't think the root sign would display since I entered it using Japanese encoding. It still displays for me when I switch the encoding to western, so I guess I'll use it in the future if everybody can see it.
