| I wasn't too impressed with Cloud as a character. Cloud was a kid who hated his past so he took someone else's identy and made himself believe it was truely himself. I wasn't impressed with him as a character. He started out great but after the first disk he quickly turned to shit (much like the game in my opinion). Cloud did look cool. CHOCOBOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | The following are in no particular order. Locke (Treasure Hunter, dammit!) Celes (Plus she gets even more points for the Ice spells. My favorite element.  )Terra (Don't know why. Really, I don't.  )Edgar (See a trend?) Mog, FFVI (Why? He's a moogle, kupo!) Rydia (Hey, she's not in FFVI!) Yeah, most of those are from FFVI. Except one from FFIV. I didn't particularly like many of the newer characters (haven't played FFX or newer, mind), and the ones I did like weren't high enough on the list. |

| Oh man, i have such issues with narrowing this down so here goes: From FF7: Cloud, Sephiroth and Aeris FF8: Irvine, Laguna, Squall, Quistis FF9: Vivi FF10: i really haven't played it enough yet to get a real feel for all the characters. but Wakka is voiced by the man who plays Bender in Futurama, so he's got that going for him :-) and you gotta love the blitzball cinematic in the beginning where tidus is playing, not that that makes him a great character, that i'll have to find out for myself |

Why do people like Squall? All he does is this: "..."  Both him and Squall were too damn mopy for me. They didn't really have any great character qualities that made them interesting. Seifer, on the other hand, was a pretty cool character. He was the "chivalrous villian". The bad guy who did bad things, but for some reason you like him anyway. And maybe even understand where he's coming from so he doesn't really seem like a bad guy at all. Seifer kicked ass. Hmm, well my all time favorite character is Locke. He had a great character and he was just the all around cool-guy. Oh, and he's a treasure hunter, not a theif. People get that confused.  As for villian, I've GOT to go with Kefka. I mean, he changed the entire WORLD. Such a charismatic character too. Instead of the cookie cutter villian (The kind you see in many many games, movies, tv shows, etc...), he was different. He was hilarious at time with great dialouge.  Oh, and his final form is one of the best sprites in video game history. It rocked.For female, I'm torn between both Celes and Rikku. Both great characters. It would have been great to see Rikku in a spin-off game of her own. It's a shame it'll probably never happen. And as for others, both Cid and Vincent in FFVII kicked major ass. I always wondered if Cid was smoking tobacco or....something else. Laguna was my favorite from FF VIII. He was a very likeable character. FF VIII is worth playing just for him. Again, I would have liked to see a spin-off starring him as well. And the Turks!  Oh, and White Mage in FF. I like...all the main heros even Tidus  I always seem to use the main hero more then any other character in the game.(Except Cloud) People...I discovered a revelation!! | Males: 1.laguna 2.squall 3.Cloud 4.Locke Females: 1.Terra 2.Yuna 3.Rikku I like squall because I can relate to him, im probly damn close to being as introverted as he was. Laguna is my favorite male character maily because hes alot different from all the other characters, he just didn't seem the hero type to me.Terra took first in the female category for me, im not quite sure why. It's hard to throw my favorite chars in order since I like so many, and at this moment I can't remember them all. |

The new characters in the FF games are just horrible in my opinion. Especially FFX, but that's "my opinion". Sheesh.
