BMF, in his hack, made that large title screen w/ ASM. He showed some screen weeks before the board crashed.
So, maybe using a similar way of manipulating asm and the sprite bytes, i guess it is possible to make a, for example, rex higher? So you would have to jump higher to reach his head and, by changing Rex's HP via asm, you would have to jump over him more times.
Is it possible? If it is, i guess it would take a lot of tough asm work to do the desired effect.

the title screen of bmf's hack was much bigger then the normal smw screen, he posted some screens times ago

It's easy to require you to jump on Rex more times, simply increase his hit points. Atma X can tell you how if you need to know. It's not even ASM, it's basic hex. One byte.

EDIT: I looked through a file by Atma on various Rex stats. I wanted to make it into a goomba, but the side-project didn't go how I wanted it to so I abandoned it. anyway, edit $197B8 - what you change it to will be the HP of Rex, but, it won't necessarily get taller. you'll need some more data for that, and possibly ASM.


And the title screen on BMF's hack... We never got any proof that was more than a small MS Paint drawing placed in. Or that it was even the intro everyone assumed it to be. You need to take things with a grain of salt. Not everything everyone says is true... I mean, he's BMF, he's great, but, that kind of graphics expansion isn't likely.

Yes, that was the "Nintendo Presents" logo. Yes, it was real. All I did was hack the routine that places the sprites on-screen to add a few more rows of my own custom sprites. And before anyone asks, no, this doesn't mean I can create my own enemies and items; there's no programming behind the "Nintendo Presents" sprites, they're just static images.

You'll never see me post a hoaxed screenshot, unless I clearly specify that it's fake. You may recall that orynider posted some hoaxed screens a while ago, and they got me pretty upset...

The SNES's OAM is set up so that you can only have two different sizes of sprites on the screen, e.g. 32x16 and 16x16, 32x32 and 32x48,...; so you have to make a rex consist out of two sprites in order to make it higher than two tiles. Try to look for some manuals; I for myself amn't yet far enough in OAM stuff to make this real.
