They could have put it on JBL but long-term that's not good.

Besides...

Spoiler:
It's going to be Batista vs. Eddie Guerrero up next.

I have a ball on the quartz club last light watching WWE Smackdown. The main event between Randy Orton and the Undertaker is quite interesting. Tough luck Randy Orton. I would think that Rey Mysterio deserve a title shot at the World heavyweight title than Eddie Guerrero.

I was mad crazy at the quartz club in my place drinking 7 beers. Saturday night is always my favorite.

The way I see it, I'm just glad Eddie is finally getting a shot at the main event again. The fact that JBL isn't there is just a happy bonus.

I don't think Eddie has a chance though. Dunno if Batista's been a fKitten Yiffer as champ or not but Eddie can't be the guy that they shift it to, at least long term. Maybe they'll just flip-flop the titles.

In interesting news... Heat and Velocity will now air on wwe.com starting next week. Neither show was picked up by USA and Spike's dropping WWE programming after Monday.

As someone on the WrestleCrap boards said, "Heat and Velocity only airing on the Internet is fine, since those are the only programs the Internet's favorite wrestlers are ever on anyway."

Yes, and what's even better is that WWE seems to understand this. Heat seems to be a throwaway show this week but Velocity has Benoit vs. Regal in a rematch from a couple of months ago where they tore it up on the B-show. So yeah.

It's too bad Jericho has left. I was lucky enough to see his last match since I can't watch WWE programming on basic cable anymore
Oh well, these things happen

Jericho will be back but he's going to be busy with Fozzy... probably until the new year.

My hunch... surprise Rumble entrant. Just a hunch.

Tomorrow's the biggest night in wrestling history since... well... probably the night of the last Nitro.

Apparently they haven't lost that much of the SD audience since the move to Fridays. That isn't too bad to be honest.

No Mercy last night though... ugh. Talk about a PPV that could have easily been done on an episode of SD.

At least Batista is stll the World Heavyweight Champion. Way to GO. But I want to know what happened to John Cena's WWE title at RAW. I haven't watched RAW for a very long time due to my low cable bill income.

Nothing yet. They're setting up the Thinly Veiled Bathroom Euphemism match (read: Elimination Chamber) with Edge, Carlito, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, and the Big Show. All five pled their cases on Carlito's Cabana, Cena came out and made a few cheesy gay jokes, and said he'd take on all of 'em if he had to.

If they're going to do that match, it might as well wait for Survivor Series. My guess is that one of those five will be "chosen" to face Cena at Taboo Tuesday, since it seems they're still going to go with the interactive thing there.

Meanwhile, it seems that almost everyone on the net is crapping all over the Jim Ross thing. In case you didn't know/didn't watch, Ross was "fired" by Linda McMahon on RAW. In reality... he might have done his last RAW broadcast. Vince is hellbent on getting a younger face into the broadcast booth to be the lead voice of RAW, but the problem is that there's really no candidates out there and it's doubtful they'll have someone in place by next Monday. Mike Goldberg of the UFC was their first choice but he elected to stay where he is. Josh Matthews (Velocity) would likely be the best bet to take the job from within the WWE, but his drawback is that he knows a LOT about wrestling and recently they haven't liked hiring announcers that actually know a lot about the business.

My guess is that if they can't decide on a replacement on Monday, it'll be Coach/King doing RAW which is a TERRIBLE announce team because Coach is a heel announcer which would force Lawler to play face all night. If they even have any thoughts regarding putting Todd Grisham in the booth, they're going to get raked over the coals for that one.

Poo-poo on the double post, this is big...

WWE is trying to quickly put together deals to bring in Lucha Libre guys as soon as Monday in Sacramento. I'm not sure whether it's TNA's ratings or the articles on how strong Spanish radio has become in so many markets that has spurred the thinking, but they are looking at bringing in several more stars from Mexico as regulars and were trying to get minis, Porky and Mistico that I'm aware of for Monday. None of the deals have been made at this point, and it's going to be an ultra-rush job if they can contact the guys and get them done. - WO

WWE's tried this twice.

1996-97: Had a talent-sharing deal with AAA in place. This led to some neat matches, including a... old (age-wise) lucha match at the 1997 Royal Rumble, wrestlers in the Rumble itself (I believe Pierroth was the guy who stopped Austin's elimination streak) and some fun Shotgun matches; of course, AAA owner Antonio Pena is one of the worst businessmen around and the deal kinda collapsed.

1998-99: WWE launched a Spanish-only wrestling show called Super Astros (literal translation: Superstars) which had 2 or 3 matches using only Mexican talent with a few exceptions (guys who made it big in Mexico). It did all right ratings-wise but they had to cut costs I suppose, so it turned into a recap show for a couple of weeks then vanished.

So now... looks like they're trying a third time. *IF* they end up bringing in Mistico, prepare yourselves for a real treat. He's basically the new Rey Jr. and is just incredible to watch in the ring. Super Porky... well, he's fat. Maybe he'll come in if there's some sort of tag/six-man match.

This could also be a move to try tick off TNA since they have connections (weak ones but still) with AAA in Mexico, whereas these wrestlers belong to CMLL. We shall see.

That was some kick ass wrestling last night on WWE Smackdown! The matches were awesome and especially next week's match on Friday Night Smackdown.

The Orton's vs. Batista and Eddie Guerrero

Hah... I have no idea about Linda McMahon by the time I watched the RAW rebound but I never seen Linda act badly in that way.

Dropping in quite late to ask if I'm the only one here skeptical that JR is actually gone? They've done this, as a angle, more than once. I remain unconvinced to this point.

Completely and thoroughly an angle. I think the plans are to have him return as part of a match (I think it's "if Austin wins, JR gets his job back") and go off to Unlimited or 24/7. Don't think he'll be back on Raw.
