Bret Hart to appear at WrestleMania 21?

http://www.tpww.net/headlines/1111174537.html

I wouldn't give my hopes up that Bret "the Hitman" Hart would wrestle again, and it very well could happen at WM21 (The People's Wrestling Website is a reliable source, as far as I know), and if and when it does, I figure an automatic feud with HBK (rumor has it... eh, just click the link. It should reveal it for you. I'm not gonna spoil it here).

Oh, and about that other rumor... it was, indeed, just a "rumor", but an unfounded one at that. I heard it not on another website, but on another wrestling message board, and I'll believe it if and only if I can find a reliable source that credits it, which so far, I've found none.

Bret had the stroke and his head would be susceptable to another injury, so he's never coming back. It would take a miracle, honestly.

To be fair, he's in good shape and good spirits but I can't see him coming back by then. He's a HoF lock but not this year.

To be honest, I thought the HoF would overlook Hogan again, but I was wrong, obviously. If he really isn't going to wrestle again, I'd say next year's HoF is a pretty decent wager for Hart.

Wrestlemania, people, Wrestlemania! Not long to go before it starts, and it isnt looking bad at all. Theres definately going to be at least 2 high-quality matches in Guerrero/Mysterio and Angle/Michaels, and theres 2 intriguing matches in Taker/Orton and Big Show/Akebono (who me and my sis affectionly call "Bono" XD). Theres also the promisingly spectacular 6-way ladder match (GO CHRISTIAN!), Austin and Piper (yes, that bloke who once knocked out Jimmy Snuka with a coconut interviews a man who attacked Mike Tyson and flipped the bird at him), and of course, Hulk Hogan (apparantly in some thing called the Hall of Fame, but who cares? ITS HULK *pukes up*)...and I havent even mentioned the two title matches!

This does look like a good WM, not quite up to last year's standard but hugely promising nontheless. Anyone have any predictions? Im rooting for Christian, Bradshaw, Batista, Bono, Mysterio, Angle and Taker to win their respective matches.

Last year's Wrestlemania was a fairly average affair (compared to 18 and 19). This year looks to blow the doors off of 20, and probably 19.

I predict Cena, Batista, Angle, Undertaker, Jericho, Stratus, and Guerrero as winners. I am somewhat undecided on Show vs Akebono. If its a shoot, I think Akebono will win very quickly (Show simply has no Sumo experience). If its a work, I am still leaning towards Akebono. I frankly do not care about Piper and Austin. If it turns into a match, I predict Austin.

Bear with me: ALL of the title matches for tonight's PPV are gonna result in title turns. I predict Batista will win that tainted WH title from HHH, Hemme will win the Women's Championship and stay true to the "Women's Champion" caption on the front cover of Playboy, and last, but surely not least, Cena WILL FINALLY win the world title from JBL and SHUT HIM THE HELL UP!!

I know I'm problably not alone on this one, but I'm so sick of JBL. He's not even good for a heal, really, and I know I've said this already, but I don't care. On almost every single SD show, he always talks about how he is either the "greatest wrestler ever" or a "wrestling God", one or the other, when he's really NOT THAT GOOD!! Sorry, he isn't. I didn't count ONE of his title defenses that actually ended in a straight up pinfall without any interfierence from Heidenreich or his Cabinet. NOT ONE!! So don't even give me that load o' crap, anyone who's willing to argue with his long title reign. And even in both of his "one way" matches (if you know what I mean), the Texas Bullrope Match and the Barbed Wire Steel Cage, he got lucky. The first he won by a VIDEO REVIEW, the other he *somehow* managed to crawl out of the ring after being chokeslammed through the mat for the win. I don't consider that being "Godlike", I consider that getting lucky, and this time, I'm betting my money that he won't be so lucky against Cena at WM21.

Seph2k4: You're wrong for all the titles to be changing since only the Heavyweight champs switched.

It was pretty good this year for WM21 and I'm so hoping to get to go to next years WM since it's only like a 2 hour drive from where I am. The best match that was pretty good was Taker vs Orton. That got me on the edge of my seat from all the close pin falls. Taker won against Orton so his reign still lives on at WM.

The Sumo match was funny to see Big Show in the atire for the match. That match seemed pretty even but in the end Akebono won though. As for the ladder match, it seemed pretty close at times for some people to win. Kane was out of it for most of the match which sucked but he was good though. In the end Edge won. Finally shutting him up about not getting a title shot. *rolls eyes*

Geiger: You predicted people who would win was pretty good except for two. Like I said above Edge won the ladder match and Rey won against Eddie.

Piper's Pit was actually pretty funny and Carlito got his ass kicked from interupting and getting into the ring with them. In the end of the segment, Austin gave Piper a stunner after drinking with him from kicking Carlito's ass.

Cena dropped his midcard title, so he was a lock. I really hope he does not turn the WWE Champion title into a blinged spinner like the US title. I really hated that.

Batista's win was somewhat questionable, but there were already advertisements floating about for Backlash that indicated Triple Crapple Hunter lost. And it would really hurt Batista to get all that push just to be slapped down by a guy who can barely move around the ring anymore. I have to admit that I was a little worried when Triple H got a custom entrance with a live band playing his theme music though. Here is an interesting factoid you may not know: Dave Batista is actually six months older than Triple H.

Angle vs HBK was a little tougher to call. Since so many faces were already going to go over, and since Michaels is well past his prime, I went with Angle.

Undertaker was pretty well a lock also. I was not sure who would win until that segment on Thursday's Smackdown where the Undertaker could not get up after being RKO'd. That was a dead giveaway. The 13-0 thing would be a really great record for his legacy, so I hope he retires this year. Unfortunately, the only wrestler I could see him having one last good feud with would be Triple H. The problem is they are on different shows.

I was wrong on the ladder match. Kane was filling in for Matt Hardy (due to the whole Lita-gate thing). Shelton still had the Intercontinental title. Christian has not been pushed hard enough. Chris Benoit has been a champion too recently. This left Edge and Jericho. I picked Jericho mostly because he has not been champ in nearly forever, and Edge just has not been over with the crowd since he came back from his injury. Frankly, I hope he challenges Batista tonight and gets slapped down real quick.

While the Playboy cover refering to Christy as a champion seemed to be a tipoff, I just could not see a valet winning over a decent wrestler like Trish. I would not have been surprised had she won though, given the current state of the Women's Division. I have been seriously pissed about it ever since they fired Gail Kim.

I was wrong on Guerrero. I thought he was going to do a full heel turn and I also thought there was going to be interference from Chavo. Frankly, if Guerrero were on his A game, Mysterio would never stand a chance.

I think Show vs Akebono was a work. Match lasted far longer than it really should have for it to be a shoot. Had Akebono lost to a first-time American pro-wrestler, he would have lost a lot of face. I do not think WWE wants to piss off its Japanese audience, whereas the American audience will not really care who wins.

I was very surprised to see Hulk Hogan make an appearance. I sincerely hope this is not his "one more match" the fans were screaming for at the Hall of Fame ceremony. The only person left on the roster who I could see him having a good feud with that he has not faced before would be Kurt Angle.

I seriously liked how Cena changed the US title. It was creative and a new sight from seeing how it used to be.

Overall pretty happy with WMXI (I stayed up from 12 till 4 to watch it), it was worth it for Angle-Michaels alone. That match was simply awesome...... Angle really pushed Michaels here and Shawn looked almost tired, such was Kurt's pace and stamina. The ankle lock at the end was the best way for it to end, expecially the focus of Kurt wrapping his legs around Shawn to ultimately finish him. The 6-way was also pretty decent, Shelton's agility for someone his size is impressive. Edge winning really pissed me off though, the small "We want Matt" chants when he came out said it all.

Hot Rod was great.... its good to actually see someone acknowledge the "What" chants from the crowd, Austin looked wooden by comparision with Roddy's vernacular abilities. Mind you, I DIDN'T need to see Big Show in a thong (actually he was quite sexy, Akebono on the other hand.... )

Well, I guess you're right about everything UP TO that last sentence, saying he "didn't deserve to drop the title." Reality check: he's been champion for WAY too long! I got sick of the WWE favoring guys like HHH, JBL and Trish Stratus to be champs all the time, yet now only one remains. They always give these has-beens/never-will-bes the push they need, yet they rarely ever give the BIG NAME wrestlers the title. Just when will the Undertaker win his 5th WWE title? Problably never, especially given all this retirement propoganda (I remember reading somewhere that he's expected to retire by this summer. If you don't want to believe it, fine. I would love to see the Deadman stick around a little longer myself).

Woah. Just caught this quote over at IGN from Miss Jackie (should that not be Mrs. Jackie now?):

"Mom would yell to turn that TV off, but my dad and I would keep on watching every single week. I'm a total Hogan fan, grew up watching Hogan, and it's phenomenal that I'll actually be doing something with him this year."

I suppose it is possible she is just refering to the Hall of Fame ceremony or his appearance at Wrestlemania, but it sounds like she is talking about something coming up a bit later.

WMXXI was quite satisfying. Everyone I predicted that would win ended up winning, save for HBK and Kane. Yes, I actually said Kane. Hey, I still like him...

Speaking of Taker, does anyone else think that his 13th win is a strong sign that he's going to retire? 13 seems like a good Taker-esque number to go out on...

"As the reports lately confirm, it is being said that WWE is scraping its plans to go with Undertaker & Kane Vs. Heidenreich & Snitsky for Undertaker Vs. Randy Orton. This seems to be the better path to go as Orton seems to have no other big plans, and a high profile match-up could give Orton the momentum he needs. Many backstage are saying that Orton will defeat the Dead Man after turning heel in the match. On a side note, Undertaker is expected to retire from WWE competition by this summer."

That's what they're saying, and yes, I think they did let him earn his 13th straight WM win for just that reason, since 13 is an unlucky number; suits Taker's retirement if you think about it. I don't want him to, and I'm sure many others don't either, but it could happen.

I haven't heard anything about Taker retiring, but it's probably going to happen down the line. :\

...Kane winning the ladder match would have been one of those WTF moments by the booking team, sorry.

Rhyno has been released.

"-- After being sent back to his hotel room and then being told he was not required for RAW on Monday, it is coming to us now breaking that Rhyno was told by WWE that due to the incident during the WrestleMania 21st after show party he is being let go by the company.

-- Many are hoping that cooler heads will prevail, but as it stands release papers were supposedly signed. More on this as it comes."

Someone posted that on a wrestling site I'm joined at. So I thought I'd share the knowledge and it's kind of sad to see him go.

He hasn't been officially released yet but it's certainly possible within a few days. Long story short, he got into an argument with his wife at the hotel and broke a huge pot of some sort, embarassing the company pretty much. :\

(Plus he doesn't have much to do story-wise, but meh.)

OK, now it's official - Rhyno's gone.

...and so is Matt Hardy. This goes RIGHT back to the whole sorrid Edge/Lita/Matt affair, and given how Matt was ready for his return and everything (with good promo packages too)... the writing was on the wall. He probably has a 90-day no-compete clause, but after that he's got a few choices - TNA (to reunite with Jeff), ROH, Japan (several feds), etc. Plus he's been very good at managing his earnings, so he'll be fine.

What the frak?!

Did he ask to be released, or are they cutting him loose because he has a problem with Edge and Lita? If its the latter, I would rather seem them cut Lita (well, Edge actually.. but let us be realistic here).
