The trains aren't that bad. The Underground tends to be fairly consistant unless you're planning on getting somewhere at a certain time. Usually trains are at least every ten minutes

Try catching Virgin Cross Country every week. Bloody nightmare

I've never been on a train before. Seems like they would be fun but not when you miss out on trying ot catch one though.

Well I went last night and it was great. You were right, Kasumi, the trains weren't bad at all... it was the buses that made me and my sis late. It started at 7:30, and we got to our seats at 7:34. By then the arena was packed and Lilian Garcia was singing the British national anthem.

The stadium was electric... the first match was Rosey & Hurricane vs. Rhyno and Tajiri, both teams were cheered for equally at first, but by the end we were booing Hurri and Rosey and had loud cheers for Rhyno. The match was OK- slower paced than on TV, more submission holds than normal- and Rhyno won with a Gore. They stayed in the ring for a few minutes afterwards, shaked hands and soaked the cheers.

We then had Val venis, to a chorus of boos and random screams like "Go back to your faggot porn movies!", against Shelton Benjamin, who got some big cheers. Another standard match, Val missed the Money Shot, got up, got the Stinger splash and then was hit with a move I cant remember for a Shelton win.

Next was, surprisingly, Gene Schnitzky (sp?), who came out saying "It wasnt My Fault!" over and over again. Kane then made an inpromptu appearance and beat Gene down, but Gene then got in some offence and tried to leave. Kane got him back in, chokeslammed him and signalled a Tombstone, which we all went nuts for. He instead, however, got a chair and stuck it around Gene's neck, ready to do the move he did to HBK a few months ago. Then some refs came out and stopped him, which was lame but understandable.

Then there was a mixed tag match, featuring Maven and Nidia against the thrown-together team of Molly and Chuck Palumbo. Basic stuff, Chuck accidenetly collided with the ref at one point, which was amusing. Maven won with a risky-looking sort of headbut to Chuck's torso off the top, I think he tried for a splash but Chuck was quite a way from him and he only managed the headbutt.

Next was a 15-minute intermission, and then a trio of title matches. First was a great 3-way with Edge, Christian and Jericho for the IC title. Christian came out with Tyson and said he wasn't going to do a Beckham and lose, like he did at Euro against Portugal, whih got a lot of boos. Though I shouted 'Damn straight!", since Christian is my fave wrestler. Lots of fast-paced stuff, Edge was out for a bit outside after being thrown into steps by Tyson, who got told to shift out by the ref. Jericho won after vaulting Christian into Edge, who was on the apron, and then grabbing him into a Liontamer and winning.

Next was a Tag Title match, with La Resistance against Eugene and our own William Regal. The crowd was nuts for Eugene and Regal. Reseistance sang the Canadian anthem , to which I stood up and sang with them jokingly. Funny match, Eugene did a lot of wierd stuff, like rolling up into a ball and taking down Robert when he got close. At the end it was Reseistance winning, but Regal cleaned house after. A fan on th front row gave Regal and Eugene an English flag, which got a lot of cheers, and Eugene took a young fan to the ring with him after, who was wearing a Eugene wig and shirt. They danced and ran with each other, and then they left the ring to applause.

The final title match before the main event was Victoria vs. Trish, and Victoria did her dance and standing moonsault and Trish did a few kicks and punches here and there. Trish went for the Stratusfaction, Victoria flipped her and hooked the Widowmaker, which got a two. Trish won with a rollup.

The last match was a six-man tag, featuring Evolution against HBK, Chris Benoit and Randy Orton. Everyone got a great recepetion here, especially HBK and Flair, the crowd all the way through was "WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOING!!!" even when Flair wasn't wrestling. A long, hard-hitting match, the end saw a Benoit hit German Suplexes left, right and centre, but then Batista hit his spinebuster on him. HHH tried for a pedigree on Benoit, I think, but HBK Sweet-Chinned the hell out of HHH. Randal came in and the hit an RKO, which got most photo flashes of the night, but unfortunately the film ran out by then. That was the match winnder, and everybody left happy. On the way back everyone was WHOOING! through the streets, and on the train back everybody was a wrestling fan, which was unnervingly funny...

Batista is absoloutely huge in real ife, as is Randal. I got back at 12:30 and it was woth every penny.

Sorry, didn't think they were necessary, since it was really just a house show, not a RAW or a 'proper' show. Nothing storyline wise happened, and no titles changed. If you started reading and kept on reading knowing you were being 'spoiled', thats your fault. I said at the beginning of my post what it was.

That was still awesome, even though you just said it was a house show, and I'm glad you liked it, F-Zero.

House show results do NOT need spoiler tags - even if a title change was to happen (very rare), you'll hear about it on wwe.com or on the next TV show anyways. So considering how you likely won't see said match...

The only major title change that ever happened on a House show was when Diesel won the heavyweight title from Bob Backlund in about 7 seconds. If that happened nowadays...

More recently, Christian(?) won the Intercontinental title from Booker T (since Booker had a back injury).

WCW did some title changes on the road... I forget who, but two guys flip-flopped the TV Title in 1998.

Razor Ramon won the IC Title from Jeff Jarrett in Montreal at a house show in the mid-90's, I think.

Let's not forget Shawn Michaels and Diesel winning the tag titles from the Headshrinkers just before Summerslam one year.

Colleen: Think that was Edge that beat Jarrett. It was the night before a PPV. Forget when they wrestled for it at the PPV... during or the pre-show.

No no no, that was in 1999. In 1995 Razor beat Jarrett in Montreal, and Jarrett won it back two nights later. Strange.

This maybe stupid but has anyone, besides me, noticed that Gene Snitsky looks like a chipmunk? I swear the first time I saw him I immediantly thought about that seeing that his face looks like a chipmunk who has its mouth stuff with food.

I had not noticed that. I have always noticed X-Pac's resemblence to a rat though. I always refer to him as rat-boy. It took me a few seconds to remember what his real ring name was.

Yeah he does a bit... I think HBK looks like a rat more than X-Pac.

Im pissed at the fact RAW, despite being here in Britain yesterday, was not shown live. Nor will it be shown at its regular Thursday slot, in fact its on Friday at Midnight last I checked!!! That is unacceptable. They could at least have had it on Box Office live, like a PPV.

Presumably, you mean on UK TV. It was shown Monday night in the states, though I have my doubts as to whether it was live. That would mean a 1p start time, would it not?

The show here started at 7:35 pm, so in US... it would be at 2/1/12 ish, which isnt suitable. Even if they showed it later on, I still dont understand why we in Britain couldnt get it as a PPV or later that night.

Would have been a 2:35 PM start time on the East Coast, yeah. Not possible.

Sadly, the video was choppy as expected thanks to the distance. Never can get used to that even though I've watched enough soccer games/GP's.

Anyone else find this amusing (well, not to call it THAT! )

Carlito's "I spit in the face of people who don't want to be cool" entereance. For some reason, I find this so unamusing, yet funny in a stupid type of way. I'm not saying I like Carlito in any way... he had to cheat to win (and keep) the US title.
