Apple: Maybe HHH figured that since one fall wouldn't hurt him too much in this match, he could take it. Besides, he could waffle Benoit with a chair (DQ) then try to win two pinfalls. I mean, Eugene put him out for a minute and a HALF.

They did that in the Rock/HHH match, I think. HHH brained Rock with a chair for the DQ, then pinned him to even things out.

As for SD Thursday...

Spoiler:
Mr. Long did make his first appearance as the new GM of SD... and apparently he's a *FACE* all of a sudden. (At least it makes things a bit interesting since lord knows we can't have the faces getting screwed every single week.) He blasted Booker T for hating SD and fined Angle $1,000 for not having his wrestling gear ready.

As for actual action... Spike Dudley DEFEATED Rey Misterio to win the Cruiserweight belt thanks to his brothers, which Spike did not appreciate. Rey got revenge by costing the Dudleys their Tag Title rematch against Billy Kidman and Paul London. In the main event, Booker T won an 8-man elimination match to win the US Title. Finish saw RVD hit the 5-Star on Cena, but Booker stole the pin and then hit the scissors kick on RVD to end it. Kenzo Suzuki, of course, was DQ'ed earlier as usual.

Did he try hitting 2 pins and only been able to get a fall once?

The Smackdown Iron Man Match also had Brock whacking Angle over the head with a chair.

Interesting Spoilers to say the least.

I think he did try two pins but couldn't get the second one.

Same thing happened with a countout in that match, I think... HHH got one decision but Rock got back in before a second one.

About JBL's (albeit undeserving) title matchup at SS: unless the 'board really wants a short title reign, Undertaker will somehow lose to JBL at SS, and the only way I see that happening is if Kane interveins.

(Hey, it's a RAW *and* SD show, so it could happen)

There isn't much chances that It happens, thought. JBL is close to retirement.

It could happen indeed. My understanding is that only one person wanted the title reign to begin with (Although Vince McMahon was that person), so if business hasn't picked up with JBL in the driver's seat, I can easily imagine him dropping the belt at SS.

JBL hasn't been that bad of a champion...

Hes a brawler though and we haven't had a champion with that style on either show in a few years. Hes not too bad on the mic and his in ring skills arn't that bad.

Everyone is being too harsh on him...

Smackdown wasn't so good today... Oh well, still better than what it was a month or so ago.

I don't think he's dropping it. Although he was a steaming pile at first, his character's improving. Although it is telling where he's showing up during this week's programming.

Nah, I can't see a title change at Summerslam... You really can't do much with Taker anyways as a face.

Unless we want the next major program to be Taker/Suzuki... XD

it seems like jbl will win but how is the real question.....everyone who is into the wwe should say what the best endigs to this match would be, what the worst endings would be and finally what you think the most likely ending will be....

1..very worst.....jbl scoring a clean fall with and eye rake!!!!!!!!
2....quite crappy..jbl winning with a clothsline from hell
3...sucky.....spike dudley interfereing and hitting a dudley dog on taker causing jbl to win (haha)
4....still sucking...normal fight ending with a tombstone.....
5...alright ending.......great fight with both men battling till they bleed...tombstone/ clothsline ending...
6.....getting better.....brock returning as a masked wrestler and nailing taker...
7...good ending...both men fighting to a bloody double dq which ends with one being chucked off the stage through something.

I think that paul bearer will return with a new guy...maybe a disguised brock, kane, mordecai or someone never seen before and cause taker to lose....when taker buried paul, paul did'nt die justhas'nt been heard from since...makes sense.

either this or some crappy chair shot/ finishing move ending.....it will be one of these two.what do you think?

Well it won't be Brock, as he's now officially a Minnesota Viking in the NFL.

Mordecai I can see working...I'm still waiting for the inevitable Mordecai/Taker feud myself.

The ending #7 would be great, but I Don't know. It'll probably be a crappy ending. Vince is trying to get Raw's rating higher than Smackdown's.

Isn't RAW's rating higher than SD's even considering cable/network difference?

It looks like Taker's next opponent is... (John) Heidenreich.

Nope. And that made Vinny angry (he prefers Raw to SD, and he likes to show it)

Yeah but that's not good for business.

Heck, even now RAW draws more fans than SD... I'd hate to see SD house shows cancelled because only a few hundred tickets were sold.

...Oh wait. That's already happened.

Smackdown's ratings weren't too much lower than Raw's. Smackdown has been improving as well. I actually go out of my way to watch it most days.

Anyone know the Korean Promotion Bradshaw won the Korean Championship in? and the Mexican one? I think it was AAA... I realy don't see Bradshaw in EMLL. A brawler fighting Luchadores wouldn't be too entertaining really... Could get major heel heat fast by pulling an Old Love Machine move by Tombstoning your oppoent. R.I.P. Art Barr

FYI: The Tombstone is a pretty hated move in Mexico. Symbol of personal hated and the people sell it like they just got their necks broken.

Watched Smackdown this week (which is where those JBL questions came from) and honestly... Dvon Dubley isn't as bad as I thought, hes much better than Bubba. And the 8-man elimation match was good. I wish Haas lasted longer though, while I'm wishing. I wish he was on TV more and he didn't look like a jobber.

He didn't beat anyone in Mexico. Took on El Gran Luchadore (Shannon Moore in a mask and bodysuit) who was billed as the Mexican champeen. Probably the same deal with Korea, but I don't know which WWE talent it was.

None.

Actually, I think El Gran was Paul London the first time...
