Dibiase was the man. I always liked him, from the very first time I inexplicably picked him in the original WWF Wrestlemania for NES.

Great heel, both as a wrestler and as a manager.

So Eugene was off TV this week...

Iron Man Match next week for the WHC. Why didn't they save this for teh PPV? I hope it doesn't have a screwjob-ish finish

I'M surprised that there will be a match that will take so much time in a normal event. I mean, there is probably gonna have only 2-3 matchs (including the Iron Match).

"They call that showboating". -Wrestlecrap, the Book.

WCW made an art form out of it during their dying days. Specificially, with the first Hogan/Goldberg match which they put on Nitro for a one-week rating spike (As oposed to doing it on PPV, which would've been HUGE).

They did an Iron Man last year on SD (Lesnar vs. Angle), so there's precedent.

If they're given 10-15 minutes of overrun then they can play around with matches and the like.

Last Iron Man Match I remember is pretty old [Bret Hart vs Shawn Micheals at Survivor Series 1997)
I didn't even the one your talking about, Colleen.

Actually, the first Iron Man match was Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair back in 1992 at a house show, I think.

They've done Bret/HBK, Rock/HHH, Lesnar/Angle, HHH/Benoit on Monday...

DarkSlaya - The 60 minute Ironman Match between HBK and Bret Hart was at Wrestlemania 12.

So this will be Triple H's second Ironman match. I wasn't too fond of the Rock/HHH one but I'm not to fond of Rocks (or HHH's) wrestling ability. Beniot is good though and I can see him going 60 minutes and not make it boring with the repeative moves.

No one has ever retained in an Iron Match in the WWE so expect Beniot to lose but to something lame like a Eugene interfearence.

the rock hhh ironman match was fantastic as through the whole match there was only around 5-7 minutes of resting the rest was mayhem.....triple h was pedigreed through a table..the rock scored the first pin after 10 mins with a rock bottom off the ropes....d-x screwed the rock out the match though....undertaker also made his badass debut in this match.

the brock angle ironman however was better....brock got a count out fall with an f-5 over the ropes to the outside....this ironman should be pretty cool as long as evoultion, including eugene keep out......though the chances of that are slim.

Yeah, but obviously they're not doing HHH/Benoit at Summerslam. I would have thought they could do a 2/3 fall deal there so that you don't sap the crowd with an Iron Man match.

If HHH wins the belt, then expect him to face Edge in Toronto from what I've been reading. If Benoit retains... Then something's up with the booking.

It looks like Triple H will face Regal at the next payperview. I don't think he'll be winning the title... Theres little faces on Raw that are mainevent level. So I see Beniot Retraining and facing some random oppoent at summerslam. I'm hoping for a Beniot vs Jerico. Face vs face in Canada. Wont happen though...

kurt angle has just made an active wrestling return and at summerslam is to face eddie guererro....let's hope this match does not dissapoint.

I think benoit will lose this week and edge will win at ss giving triple h another one of his famous pointless title reigns.

The show started off with Angle ruining the show yet again with his "hardass" scenario, firing 6 of SD's best on the spot, as he originally put (the ring announcer, Funaki, Torrie, Sable, Jackie, and Dawn Marie). Thank God Eddie's potential firing happened to turn into a SS match with Angle being put back on the active roster list against Eddie Guerro

Umm... The Ring Annoucer can be replaced easily, he meant little. Funaki... I find him very entertaining but hes nothing but a very low card jobber. The Divas are a waste of space and air. He was suppose to fire them last week but it was edited out.

I hope the Diva's stay fired (I miss the last 30 minutes of Smackdown so I dunno if they got their jobs back or not). Meh.

You missed a bit then.

Vince came out at the end and fired Angle, then chased him around to prove that Angle's really been milking that injury. Everyone was rehired and Angle/Guerrero was made for Summerslam.

Why did they rehire the divas?

I finally get them off of my television... and Vince rehires them

Gah. They arn't even that good to look at, completely worthless space on the rooster.

Eddie against Guerrero at summerslam... I thought it was going to be Angle vs Cena since its been looking that way... Oh well... I can't wait for the awsome JBL/Undertaker match... Thats going to be a classic... I suck at scarcasm

Oh well. At least Angle is back now. I wonder how long it is until we see Big Show again? For a big man hes not to bad.

Wheres Johnny Nitro?

...Because I sure as hell don't want to see those 4 on RAW?

(Plus Kidman wouldn't want to be away from Torrie. )

The only part I missed was everyone being rehired.

I figured that would've happened, anyway, since most of the people he fired were the heart of the show. Funaki I could see going. Good for a few laughs, not for a wrestler.

They should have a Torrie/Stacy match at SS, especially a braw n' panties one to satisfy more viewers. I'm not trying to sound "perverted" or anything, but that's mainly all the women's matches RAW and SD show nowadays.

Erm... if they actually let Funaki wrestle he'd be better than half the cruisers on the roster.

I'm surprised he's the only member of Kaientai still in the WWE. I'd think they'd keep TAKA but once his 5-year (!) deal ran out...

Funaki is a good athelete. I used to watch Velocity all the time just to see him wrestle but they changed the time slot and I don't know when its on now

The divas arn't the heart of the show. They are nothing but a waste of time. All they do is prance around in underwear. Whoopy! Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against women being paid to prace around like idiots but I don't want it on my wrestling. Raw is a different story since most of there diva's can wrestle.

I don't want to see a time filler match at the second biggest PPV of the year. I don't pay 35 bucks to see something a bra and panties match. I pay 35 bucks to see wrestling while I'm downloading bra and panties matches from kazaa *nods*

Last bit isn't true

No one answered my question but I found out anyways. Johnny Nitro was sent back to OVW.
