.zip or .rar, please. Those are the best to use for the archive, as it saves space for me and (.rar only, I believe) keeps directories that may be essential for some hacks.

...why? Unless the .exe is a WinZip self-extractor, then no to both. They're not needed.

Erk: From my past experiences, it never has kept directories. Besies, I don't see why most people here wouldn't be using WinZip. WinRAR not only gets .zip and .rar, but it also get .tar and .gz.

Then you're not doing it right. When you're picking the files to put in the zip, you check the Save Full Path Info box. In WinZip 9, it's in the bottom-left corner, under the heading of Folders. In WinZip 8, it's right below the Add With Wildacards button.

I've actually been trying to make a Memberlist hack like that for a while, but I never got around to it. Thanks, I'l have them up by the end of today.
