Comparision: Wrecked Ship: The area left the Wrecked Ship in Super Metroid is the same as the same area in Zero Mission. Maridia: The tube is broken(not the first one). The passage between Crateria and Chozodia(where the Mother Ship is) leads to the Chozo Ruins area. Theory for both: During Prime and Metroid 2, smisic activity probably split the remains of the Mothership and sank it into the depths and became Maridia itself. Rock covered the remains and life become abunant. Water also floods the area. The other half remains and becomes the Wrecked Ship. |

We could always just ask the developers, but it looks like the Wrecked one to me

IT BECAME NEITHER. Spoiler: It friggin' exploded!! There is ANOTHER section in Chozodia away from the Space Pirate's ship. It looks just like part of the Wrecked Ship. THAT is the Wrecked Ship in Zero Mission. You see less of it, yes, but it's there. They redid the layout of Zebes somewhat for Zero Mission. Not drastically, but enough. That's why you don't see more of the Wrecked Ship. Spoiler: Maybe when the Space Pirate's ship exploded, it destroyed the ruins in Chozodia and unearthed more of the Wrecked Ship. And why would it become Maridia? Why should it? There's no hints that it becomes Maridia, I don't see why it should. Anyway, I'm pretty damn sure it's not the Wrecked Ship, because the Wrecked Ship is already there in Zero Mission and is a seperate part from the Space Pirate's ship. I KNOW already that the Mother Ship exploded, but what about the broken tube in Mariara! It was destoried by a power bomb in Zero Mission, giving some height to the Mariara theory.

Well, there's a ship in zero mission and one in super metroid, and they're both in the same places. Yeah, I'd say they were the same. As for it being in Maridia, that's not unlikely. Parts of it could have been buried. Which could explain the baby metroids floating around down there. |

Originally posted by SM_Gamer Who on Earth says it's the same broken tube? It could of been broken anytime. It's broken in Super Metroid to give you a clue to the fact that you can break the other one. Just because there's a tube you can break with a Power Bomb doesn't mean it's the same tube. Also, the Mochtroids have their own story behind them (failed attempts at cloning Metroids) and since there were no Mochtroids or Metroids on the Space Pirate's ship, I don't see what that has to do with anything... The Metroids were eliminated in Zero Mission. They were all in Tourian. I already made my point; the Wrecked Ship is *already* in Zero Mission and it is separate from the Space Pirate's ship. And the Space Pirate's ship exploded (I put it as a spoiler for those people who haven't played Zero Mission, but since you spoiled it anyway...), while the Wrecked Ship *crash landed* (according to every piece of information about the ship in the Super Metroid manual and official guide) and doesn't show any signs of damage from a big ass explosion. Hell, it's power systems are still online. Not only that, but it has active Chozo Statues within it; not something you're likely to find in the remains of a Space Pirate ship. |

Perhaps the mocktroids were stored in an area not on the Chozodia map(thus, not explored by Samus) and when the Mother Ship blew its top, the mocktrods somehow surived. I was able to optain screenshot maps of Chozodia, Wrecked Ship, and Marinara. I'll try to find some simillaritys between the three(besides the tube). |

Originally posted by SM_Gamer You're really clutching at straws there. Why? There's no logical reason why the Space Pirates would be keeping Mochtroids on the ship. Besides, I think it's suggested that they don't attempt to clone Metroids until AFTER Zero Mission. Why? Because before then they just multiplied the Metroids they stole with beta rays. They had no need to attempt to clone them until later. And yeah, there may be some little similairies between Chozodia and Maridia, but that doesn't change the fact that the Wrecked Ship is already there, and... Why WOULD the ship become Maridia anyway? Just because you don't visit Maridia in Zero Mission doesn't mean it's not already there. Why not? It's caves.. It's very wet caves with sand and rock. It's not made of metal, except for the final section, which is made out of pipes which appear to be carrying some kind of coolant. Not very spaceshippy, and there's no sign of major damage caused by any kind of explosion. By the way, in the Super Metroid manual, it says the words 'built by ancient man' in relation to the Work Robots in the Wrecked Ship. The Coverns (the ghosts) also depict human skulls, so... Not Space Pirates, then. |

The power systems are offline BECAUSE of Phantoon. My point was that it still has power. It is not broken. It's power is only off because of Phantoon, as he is diverting the energy to himself. Not because the generator is down or anything. And... Now you're repeating my own point. Yes, it crash landed years and years ago, I was just making sure you realised that the Wrecked Ship was already in Zero Mission and was not the Space Pirate's ship in any form. Because that part blew up, taking Chozodia with it, and leaving only the Wrecked Ship, which is the ship that crash landed years and years ago. |

Originally posted by Fyxe The Wrecked Ship was buried in the crash and the Mother Ship must of landed on or near it, because when the Mother Ship(and Chozodia) "expired", the Wrecked Ship was revealed. During all this time the power systems were still online(unless it was Phantoon that caused the Wrecked Ship to crash on Zebes in the first place). Even if Phantoon didn't cause the crash, the power systems would still go out. Why? Because of Phantoon! But, where was he before Zero Mission if Phantoon didn't cause the crash of the Wrecked Ship? |
