| i played this with a friend yesterday, i had to buy a gba cable but it was worth it. when i first played it, i kinda forgot all the critizism of the chalice and the hardness to see the gba screen etc. because i was actually blown away  iv never played a multiplayer game like this before and its tremendous fun, but a few questions for people who own this1. i heard rumours you can download/upload characters to and from fftactics advanced, can you do this? 2. wheres the levels? i heard you could level up but there seems to be no level system |

| 1. I never heard anything like that. 2. You level up by killing bosses. By getting artifacts, you can up certain stats, get more hearts/command slots. You can go back and kill the bosses several times and up your stats more. I think it stops you after X amount of tries though. |

Spell fusion is easier in single-player, where you just need a bunch of command slots... in multiplayer, no single person can fuse magicite like that; people have to cast spells together in the same spot with certain timing. It's harder but much cooler. Also you can make -aga spells with just two people with the right timing. It's a good thing you found holy; it's just short of necessary for some of the later bosses... and without Gravity most large flying enemies (and some of the tougher bats) are a humongous pain in the ass. |

| Personally, I think it's kinda genius in the way they made this game. I was kinda iffy about the whole GBA-GCN stuffs, but when I finally got to see it in action, I realized how great it is. If one of the players in your group kinda... sucks, then there's gonna be some time spent going through an item list looking for a pheonix down or something to heal with. Being able to search through the list without disturbing the other players is great. Though.. I never did complain about menu accessing in the Secret of Mana games... I really like how magic fusion works... You can purposely make a stronger spell, or force another player into making a fusion with you with proper timing.  I see this game made for somewhat-socialble hardcore gamers with gamer friends. Those people would usually already have the stuff needed to play the game. Kinda reminds me of PC games. Sometimes you don't meet the requirements due to not having things updated or upgraded or whatever. Thankfully, I've met the requirements.. well.. after buying some cords and an SP ;... And I also see this game made for people who understand the concept of team work and sportsmanship  ;; Lately, I've lost interest in playing the game for long periods of times all because of the 9 year old playing with us doesn't doesn't seem to know this stuff. It is very annoying to have the kid yelling for claiming a treasure box, yelling at us for taking items, and berserkering improperly.Anyway.. I like this game, and I even play it by myself just to get stuffs without others realizing it. *walks away, whistling as he twirls around his Ring of Cure* Edit: There is no Cid. I can understand why people are critical when the game has "Final Fantasy" in it.. | I have played with my cousin because everyone else sucks at it like they die and pick up everything that you need and sell scrolls like mythril shield when you have all the stuff for it and you are the only clavat but you don't have the scroll. Oh and someone wasn't going to give me the scroll for the gaia plate. So i only play with my cousin and we are at year 7 right now with like really high stats. I am a clavat with 72 attack 81 defence and 36 magic. My cousin is a yuke with 99 magic 42 attack and 67 defence. Yeah we are that damn good. |
