http://www.dextrose.com/files/n64/rippers/ge.rar To play it: http://www.dextrose.com/files/n64/n64_emulators/in_usf51.zip I haven't had much luck, as it crashes my winamp. SM64 works, though. |

What the fuck? Even if this were in the right forum, it would be boring info. Files and such get released all the time and this isn't even groundbreaking. |

... I seriously want to know what was wrong with this thread for it to become like this He's posting about a new USF soundtrack that just came out (I only know of 3 so far). USF is a new sound format for Nintendo 64 music (like NSF for NES, SPC for SNES, PSF for PlayStation, etc.), I've only seen it mentioned in one thread before this (which wasn't even originally about USF) and it is indeed new, not old boring stuff we've already seen everywhere ... 00:06:25 (edited by Acmlm on 04-26-04 12:10 AM) (edited by Acmlm on 04-26-04 12:14 AM) |

Intresting. Sure, it sounds abit buggy and is missing some sound. But it's an start. Finally I can have Facility in my playlist... (To install place in_usf.dll into your Winamp plugin folder, and RSP.dll in your System32 folder ) (edited by Kitten Yiffer on 04-26-04 05:26 AM) |

Originally posted by Kitten Yiffer Try unchecking "Audio HLE" in the plugin settings. It makes it sound a bit better. Sure, there are still the occasional tempo problems (read: some songs, in every rip, sound slower than the real thing), but I figure hcs, the plugin's/format's creator, will hammer those bugs out eventually. However, there's no way to fix the fact that some of the the audio sounds like Joint-Stereo fluttering on steroids, or the fact that some songs prevent you from playing other songs after them without restarting Winamp. Milly: Post more. Now. The USF format is pretty interesting actually. There were some GOOD N64 soundtracks out there, and it's about time someone figured out how to extract them from the roms. Once PSF's came into play, it was only a matter of time. |

I try that Ice guy. But I actually like sort of how bugging the music could be, "Severnaya Bunker 1 (alarm set)" did sound very funny. *looks after more USF rips* (Intresting that people still use the Ultra name. ) |

Originally posted by Acmlm Heh, the post about USF I made in the N64 hack utilities thread left its trace in seeing this thread ^^ It will be similar to PSF in processing (except USF still is new), just check the game music archivr on Zophar's Domain, there are more and more PSF files there I wonder why it did take that long to figure out the sound data of N64 games When I'm at home I'll try the Goldeneye OST, I must not test it while at work now |

I was interested...actually...I wonder why -some- people had to go off on him. It is rather new. If it would've been something like a new SPC soundtrack...then yea...I'd have probably gone off on him too as there are several thousand of em out there and I could rip one myself in a course of about a half hour given the game. But give the guy credit...this is actually new...don't go nuts if you don't know the backstory to WHY he's posting it. I mean you look at Zophar's Game Music Archive...they don't even have a section dedicated to this stuff yet. Anyways...hopefully they'll pull more of these...my infinite supply of game music needs more. (edited by Hiryuu on 04-30-04 10:33 AM) |

I'm glad the N64 music format is coming together, some of my favorite game music was from N64 games (Including Goldeneye). Personally, I've been abusing the Jolly Roger Bay track from Mario 64. I hope I don't see too much more of the uncalled for attitude I see above. If I could PM chill pills, I would. |
