| A man is walking through the jungle where two tribes live, in one tribe everyone always lies, and in the other they always tell the truth. The man reaches a fork in the path, he knows one of the two directions leads back to the village, but isn't sure which. Next to the path stands a member of one of the two tribes, he also that knows the tribesman knows which direction leads back to the village, but doesn't know if he is a liar or a truth teller. The man then asks the tribesman one question, and immediately knows which path leads back to the village. What was that question? |
